I love the cat’s forward ness but also politeness. The way he reaches out and gently taps his owner is the equivalent of him saying “Um, excuse me, Miss. Do you think, you could…spare me a few more scratches, pwease?” So sweet 🥰🤣
We had a cat like this years ago. God, how we miss her. Our cat now still asks, but not so much. But if she wants to go upstairs, she sits at the bottom of the stairs and meows, until you say ‘OK then, you can go upstairs’. Then she runs upstairs and (usually) sits on the bed.
My cat used to sit beside me on the ground and meow to ask if she could sit on my lap. If I said yes or pat my leg she would. If I said no or pat beside me she'd jump up and lay next to me. In any case she'd put her paw on me, tilt her head, close her eyes and smile looking at me. Sadly she passed away 4 years ago at the age of 19.
You missed out Sleep at any given opportunity unless involved in the afore mentioned activities... oh and knock anything off that is on an elevated surface... ;o)
Cats are just way ahead of dogs, in manners and cleanliness, and just about every thing else. Look how clean that cat is. Cats really have sophistication and style. Cats are a wonderful gift from God.

So cute. I have a similar looking butterball tuxedo cat, who acts similarly for pets - very gently taps with white tipped paws. Purrs as she waits. Big little arched back and a twirl when getting petted. Doesn’t eat anymore than other cats but is still a chunk chunk.

My cat was overweight like that one, then I put him on wet food . He went from 14 lbs to 10 lbs. Much quicker and happier.
