The key thing to understand with this demonstration is the string length (pendulum length) decreases the farther back you go. So closest balls have the longest strings, and they decrease slowly as you go back.
EDIT: Okay, giving a little more detail here. The person with the stick at the beginning is careful to have the stick parallel to the balls original position when he releases them. The balls closest to the camera have longer string lengths, while the ones in the back are shorter. Hence, it takes less time for the back ones to "turn around" and start swinging back to where they were released, while the ones closer to the camera take longer to start swinging back.
Because they all have different periods, as time passes the synchronicity becomes less and less; and what started as an "S" type pattern quickly APPEARS to turn into a chaotic back and forth.
HOWEVER, due to the periodic nature of pendulums, the synchronicity is then regained as that phase of the cycle (the beginning phase) "comes back", so to speak. So we go from uniform, to "appearing chaotic", and then back to uniform.
If they had let the video run a little longer, you would see the balls soon line up in a straight line again like they were in the beginning. But they cut it too short, unfortunately.

This feels like the philosophy of friends, loved ones, or people in general. We start as one, separate into groups, find our own flow and in turn, flow with others. Some live, some die but in the end, we are part of the same flow or dance of life. Separation truly is just an illusion as we are all connected.

Are you implying that there is no God needed?
You are forgetting that “two hands” were needed to set things in motion.
Without those “hands” initiating movement, there is no beauty, no design, nothing.
And remember, those balls did not end up on different length of strings randomly.
      “Someone” designed it so.
