- Canyonlands National Park is the largest national park in Utah. Though it's often overlooked since there are so many amazing national parks in the area, it's worth visiting for incredible views of the canyon country. In this video, we cover things to do at Canyonlands National Park (including our favorite sights) and some tips to maximize your visit.

Have you been to Canyonlands National Park, or are you planning to visit in the future? 😎
Yes, its on my list!
Been there, done that, loved it.
Been there 2 times allready coming from Belgium. Some might not like what I'm about to say, but I think it's more beautiful than the Grand Canyon. We went to Mesa Arch in very early morning (it was still dark outside) to watch the sunrise, unforgettable. Then we drove to the Grand Viewpoint for our breakfast picnic. We did the Shafer Trail, Gemini Bridges and the Long Canyon road in a rented 4x4 Jeep. Highly recomended. You get to see parts of the park with no crowds. We're planning on going back in 2022 (after this Covid Crisis is ended) with some friends who've never been in the USA before.
Soon in july
Yes this summer along with Arches, Yellowstone, and Grand Teton!
Great video!
Thank you! 😊
Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks for checking out our video and channel! 😊
Everyone needs to visit Utah's Mighty 5 in one road trip. We did this 4 years ago and still one of our favorite road trip along with Skyline Drive in Shenandoah, Going-to-the-sun Road in Glacier and the Oregon Coast.
Great advice! We still need to visit Glacier National Park -- I've heard it's absolutely incredible. 👍
@@TripAstute you'll enjoy and love Glacier National Park. One of the most beautiful in our National Parks System. Don't forget to try the huckleberry ice cream at Eddie's!
So, which parks are the "Mighty 5" ???
@@88KeysIdaho Zion, Bryce, Capitol Reef, Canyonlands and Arches
This video series has been extremely helpful with planning our Mighty 5 trip. Thank you!
Awesome! I'm glad the videos have been helpful. Hope you have an awesome trip! 😎
Great footage Earnest. Mike Moore
Thanks Mike! 😊

Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it. 😊
Thank you for another awesome video.
Thanks Chan! 😊
Great video and explanation Thank you!
Thanks for watching! I'm glad to hear that the video was helpful. 😊
09:07 - 2 people were struck by lightning at Dead Horse State Park about 2 months ago. If the hair on your head is standing up or you get zapped by your own tripod, that's a sign you might want to get out of there!
Yeah, definitely want to be careful during stormy weather. 😱
Great video!
Very informative.👍
Thanks! Glad the video was helpful. 😊
I went to that arch for a sunrise.
Nice! That must have been an incredible view. 😎
Great video! Great channel. So my dad and I were also in Canyonlands September 2019, the beginning of the month though. It was our first National park on a 30 day roadtrip out of about 14 NP. Honestly, after much contemplation, I really think Canyonlands is my favorite NP that I’ve been to so far. There are other beautiful ones like Zion, Yosemite, and Yellowstone, but I like this land of canyons best because the lack of people. The stars were also incredible here.
Thanks! I agree - It’s an amazing place. I’m jealous that you had a chance to see the stars there. We left too early, but I wish we had stayed to see the starry night sky. 😊
@@TripAstute that was actually how I found it! When I was doing research and prepping for the trip, I got onto the topic of dark night skies. It is definitely up there in terms of darkness for the lower 48. Also, I am from West Virginia. The area around Green Bank Observatory is some of the darkest on the East Coast! The Seneca Rocks/Spruce Knob National Recreational Area is worth the trip!!
I was actually there in month 7 of this year.
Nice! I imagine it must have been even more empty due to less travelers.
@@TripAstute well it was nice! We went to 6 national parks in total I believe. Highlights being arches, Zion, and Grand Canyon national park. Many other though. We are from Washington DC so we actually drove all the way out there.
@@TripAstute the coolest thing is the scene that you started off the video with I actually have the same photo of that I took. Very amazing place and very iconic :))
Are the canyon lands suitable for young teens to hike? Thanks in advanced.
I think young teens should be able to handle the hikes. The great thing is that there are hikes for all levels in the park. All the ones we did in Canyonlands were definitely less challenging than the ones we encountered in Arches and Zion. 👍
Just found La Sal House is permanently closed :(
That's too bad! We really loved that place. 🙁
The time is too short for the views, feel kind of rushed, other than that, very good !
Thanks! I definitely would have loved to spend some extra time there (or even exploring one of the other Canyonland districts). 😎
La sal house is closed
I heard! What a bummer. 🙁
Pacifically.
I'M A HUMBLE PERSON.
