Why y'all calling cap on something so easy to prove? Literally go look up minecraft resistance and check the wiki, it says, and I quote, "Resistance reduces incoming damage by 20% × level from all sources except for starvation, the void, /kill, and explosions with extreme power values...," so when resistance is at level 5 all incoming damage is reduced by 5x20% which is 100% except if the damage is caused by starvation, /kill, or some explosions.

(At 18:39 you can see resistance 5 with the sword inside the shield icon, and at 18:52 it goes away after flashing for a sec)
