While max Guan, I still use Martel-Scopio or Scopio-martel. For speed. Lari-lari😅😂

I still use him. Also, pakal with Martel is also really good, because you are basically a stat stick

Excellent video! Martel is still a hidden gem in terms of ROK commanders. Pre-SoC he is arguably part of the best garrison pairs Martel/Constantine and Martel/YSG. Martel will be an anchor in your pre-SoC murder balls. Martel/Alex is the "go to" in ruins and altars for pre-SoC KvK. He will be used on your city wall for a very long time unless you are garrison player. In the first season of SoC the Martel/Scipio is a pair that does an amazing job. Hide the Scipio behind Martel while you rain AOE, Scipio's debuff, and enjoy dealing more damage from Martels shielding. After the first season of SoC Martel/Harold could remain in your line-up for a very long time. Martel/Harold frequently gets ignored so plenty of cheap KP in those cases and in instances where it doesn't opponents learn first hand that it is very painful to swarm. This pair is much more affordable and very comparable to a potentially overrated and much more costly Pakal/Harold combo in the open field.
Spent 120 gold heads on him during KvK1 and have used him a fair bit. I got a total 4 million plus kills with him. Currently at 5535, 97 heads away to expertise. 888 days old account.
Stopped using him much 3 KvKs ago.
Thanks for the video, Omniarch! I'm a low-mid spend infantry main and right now I run two open field infantry. I find 5111 Guan-Alex max and Scipio max -Martel 5511 the better combos, especially if you're low on sculptures. Guan desperately needs the Alex march speed and Martel is just a good stat stick for your already awesome Scipio. Something I haven't heard tried is a max Martel behind Guan though. Martel will bring 20% of march speed, defense and health behind Guan but by the time you've maxed Martel using gold keys, there's probably something better to add to Guan lol
I would try Guan/Scipio and Alex/Martel instead. Those pairs have better synergy. Guan with Scipio slaps! 🙃
@Javier Ross it definitely does lol the only issue with that is I find Alex and Martel doesn't do enough damage
Thank you for reinforcing my good decision of pairing Harold with Martel. I am a cav commander with expertised Nevski/XY/Saladin/William. I needed a solid inf march and since I already had Martel maxed, I thought the pair would be a counterattack machine 😁
Funnily enough I have a friend who's wanted to unlock martel for a while now and has been absolutely struggling to pull a single Martel sculpture out of a gold chest; then this video drops 😂😂
its funny , during my first few weeks i was so lucky with cm that i got him to 4000 before cm mge started now i have not seen a single cm drop

This is the problem with gold key commanders, if you don't use gold heads, you won't be expertising anytime soon. Or you are a whale and win all the Charles MGE's as your dedicated inf leader for your kd. I mean my Charles is 5-3-1-1 useful but much weaker then other inf players. I choose to go Archer and spent 300 heads into Thut to Expertise him so that in kvk 1 I could beat T5 players with T4 units and rally forts in kvk 1 with archers.

Martel/Scipio is better than people believe. Martel generally gets left alone on the field which is great because with Scipio behind him, he continues to pump out carnage. He may not get as many kills but his trades are better than Scipio/Mehmed, especially if focused. I love using him
@ITZGHOST I can’t justify spending sculptures on Honda at this point. I know Mehmed is not as good as Honda but I’d use him instead because he’s free. YSG sits behind Boudica for me.
There are players who use Martel/Packal - seen some reports and they are good :)

I'm still using CMmax in kvk 5++, and often i pair with LCmax, liuche extra normal att makes him rage fast to drop shield and makes LC smite more better with increase 30% dmg, its like hit and runback and they will never get caugh by enemies
I use him for my City Defense along with YSG😊
If i can say my opinion charles martel is a complete commander, he only needs aoe and debuffs, wich scipio P has, so it could be pretty nice, right omniarch?

Thanks for video. I Use him some time behind scipio and then i can use mehmed on other marches. But i saw that scipio with sun zu are more compatible because od that 20% skill damage

you ALWAYS want charles to be primary cos his active skill buffs the secondary commander's skill damage by 30%
That's true, but Harald is the exception because he pops his active skill so often that it'll most likely be during the buff anyway. Plus Skill Tree rage regen & Martel is more targeted in open field

so sun tzu primary and martel secondary is good for a 1v1 scenario and martel primary is better for a possible swarm?

Hey! I wanted to ask, im in the mid game and i currently have t3 troops my city hall is level 18 (almost 19 in the process of upgrading) if you could asnwer this 3 questions i have i'd apriciatte it
1. Im in the vikings civ right now in city hall level 18 and im an infantry main using martel at level 40 (i just got martel a month ago so his skill is still 3-1-1-1)
What's the best civ for infantry generally ?? I thought it was vikings so i used my free civ change to switch from rome to vikings but diffrent sources are saying diffrent stuff so what is REALLY the best civ for infantry ??
2. Im planning to upgrade my t3 troops to t4 but its taking a while so what's the best civ to unlock t4 ASAP ??
3. As my city hall is upgrading to level 19 should i choose to the civ that is the best for researching and building or the best civ for infantry first ?? Because im an f2p and changing civ is rlly expensive for me because im a f2p

rome overall with be much better than Viking because it has troop march speed and defense which is really good due to the low speed of Infantry and the massive defense would be even stronger
but the best for you right now i think it would be China because of the 5% building speed and 5% action point recovery is really useful i would have recommended Germany but you are infantry. Furthermore Infantry is the worst unit type to PVE ( Siege excluded) because of low march speed and damage
@@slowedandreverbX thank you for the info but some of the strongest commanders in the game is an infantry commander such as scipio prime, joan prime, Alexander the great, Guan yu and more
Also i know rome is better than vikings rn but most sources said france/germany is better for infantry because france offers a 3% more health to all troop types and the 20% healing speed and i invested to charles martel until lvl 40 because he was my first legendary commander and i know right now for me minamoto is meta rn i wanted to switch to a cavalry main but idk because i invested till lvl 40 (my charles martel)

Yeap am still using him whit harald and got some crazy reports from swarming , I got pakal to but the " hammer " is allweys in set-up in my 5 marches
question, i have 5511 cm+ sun tzu in kvk1, im vip10 currently have 80+gh, should i skip Alex? and save all gh for soc commanders or getting cm+ alex combo is the best? I am confused wether to save all and get scippio+cm and then get a 2nd cav soc commander mach or is the experience of running cm+sun tzu until kvk3 is not worth it
Yes..and skip guan yu to ..try to get nevsky,scipio,boudica ..most relevan commander
Scipio+CM, Nevsky+athelflead, Boudica+Tutmose lll/El cid before you get solid pair or good secondary..this for new player/f2p/low spend
Dont use universal head for el cid and tutmose just claim at golden box/golden keys
Reach vip14 before castle 25
And dont follow chisgule ways..he is whale and get sponsor...way of thinking is not the same as those of us who play without money

LiLLith needs to change their approach....players should have the ability to upgrade "epic" commanders to legendary.... Instead of giving us new commanders every 5 to 6 months..
