Hi chris , u are right malaysia is a muslim country but at the same time we have a lot of non muslim chinese indians and also in the borneo.
So the selling of non muslim food or pork is common to accomodate to the non muslims.
Were muslim majority but we dont restrict the practice of other people as long as it doesnt go against our constitution.
I also would like to thank u for visiting us. Ur videos have been very respectful and we need more tourists like u . Thank u very much
Malaysia is a secular country and islam is the religion of the federation.
it is a secular country though. Islam is the official religion in West Malaysia only. But Sarawak doesnt have an official religion as per MA63 AGREEMENT. Hence Malaysia is a secular country.
Thank you Chris for respect our Muslims brother Solo👍😁🇲🇾♥️
his name Sulaiman not solo
@@muhammadabdulwahab4900 oh oh did not know, he is a muslim
@@muhammadabdulwahab4900 yes i know, but his nick name of his channel "solo" 😁👍♥️
Lol
It always amazes me is to see how privilege people in other countries are. I am in South Africa and believe me here there is no walking around after dark, its very dangerous and you are definitely not safe doing it. Keep the content coming, appreciate you ❤❤
I get what you are saying, i visited cape town many years ago one of the most beautiful and stunning cities i have been to but i was there for work as well and we had to be escorted by security and driven everywhere by a driver
The brotherhood vibe was pretty strong there bro...love this kinda videos where everyone is enjoying their weekends and the entertainment on offer. Like i mentioned before, there's something for everyone here in Malaysia, and in this case, halal and non halal. Enjoy yourselves guys!😅👌
14:30 The Chinese food in Jalan Alor is from the Malaysian Chinese, and not China. The Malaysian Chinese cuisine is a fusion of unique Malaysian flavours. Malaysian food in general is a mixture of many cultures, mainly from the major races or ethnicities of Malaysia (Malay, Chinese & Indian). There are also Siamese Malaysians (& Malaysian Thais), that’s why it’s quite common to see Malaysian Thai cuisines as well.
Amazing! I love how much of a melting pot it is!
@@Travelwithchris Me too, thanks for visiting my country 🎉 Glad you enjoyed your time here 😊
👇🏻Just for general knowledge👇🏻
Malaysia Demographics (approx stats)
58.7% Malaysian Malays
11.07% Indigenous or the Native tribes of Sabah, Sarawak (Malaysia Borneo) & the Orang Asli (the original people) of Peninsular Malaysia
22.6% Malaysian Chinese
6.73% Malaysian Indians
0.9% Others (Siamese, Thai, Portuguese, British, Australian descents etc.)
100% = Malaysians
FYI, Malaysia also has the largest community of migrant workers (mostly from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Philippines) in South East Asia. Around 3 million (maybe more now). Most of them work in construction, FnB sectors, janitorial jobs, housekeeping, and so on.
Nice video bro, I had a fun time hanging out with you guys! 🤠
Same here bro!
Malaysia is not a muslim country. It is secular, multi cultural and open country just that majority of the population are muslims but there are 40% non muslim. In many areas, there are more non muslims. All Malaysians also enjoy freedom of religion as enshrined in the federal constitution.
@@leealex24 Official Federal religion of Malaysia is Islam.. so it is a muslim country..
@@herihazril Please read the statement from Tunku Abdul Rahman, Islam as the official religion doesn't mean it's a muslim country but, it's muslim majority that is agreed. Furthermore, there are freedom of religion as enshrined in the federal constitution.
This is the statement from Tunku Abdul Rahman with some narrative. This is history and facts.
Tunku Abdul Rahman, once famously stated in Parliament that Malaysia is a secular state.
Indeed, Tunku actually said the following in Parliament (in response to an assertion by an MP that Malaysia was an Islamic state): 'I would like to make clear that this country is not an Islamic state as is generally understood, we merely provide that Islam shall be the official religion of the State.' (Hansard, May 1,1958).
@@herihazril In the White Paper which introduced the Constitution ('Federation of Malaya Constitutional Proposals 1957') it was stated (para 57) that there 'has been included in the proposed Federal Constitution a declaration that Islam is the religion of the Federation. This will in no way affect the present position of the Federation as a secular state.'
A Malaysian here. Had shawarma in Damascus, it’s pricey and nothing special. You can try Tarbush Go or Halab KL, better food overall, both shops within Bukit Bintang area. Have a nice trip in KL 😁
Thanks for the tips!
In the UK here, shawarma are for drunks, they cater for after hour pub goer
We go for eat in kebabs like Adana, Shish, Inegol etc
Malaysia is a muslim country & the muslims only regulate muslims, non muslims can eat what they want hence they sell pork in non muslim restaurants
Chris, that guy ripped you off plus his not even malaysian bro, careful next time
Tiger Beer from Singapore, but brewed in Malaysia, Tiger Beer is good to pair with streets foods, cheers Chris
Been watching you for 6 months haven’t missed not one video, love the raw content, and interactions with all the people!
When I watch your videos I feel that I am traveling wandering while I am sitting at home👍🏻👍🏻
That makes me so happy to hear! I'm glad you enjoy them!
What a cool bunch of videos from Malaysia. I never thought about Malaysia much, but now I would like to go
Solo has left the country. So sad coz never thought Solo would leave Malaysia.
Great video.. Chris, Solo and Wei Hung.. hope to see you guys in Malaysia again.. 🇲🇾👍
Yes definitely will! Thanks for watching!
Well Hung.
Don’t you mean Wayne!! 😂
Chris is love your personality! You are such a good and kind person and I can see on your face you have been through a lot of bad things. Great to see that you are living the greatest life you can possibly imagine! ♥
This video pumped me up as I am going to KL tomorrow and it has been a while since I go to the Bukit Bintang area.
Cheers Chris, wherever you are now...will continue to follow you.
I just went to this area today, and MRT in KL impressed me. It is better than MRT in Bangkok but kind of similar. Bukit Bintang is well known for massage the naught type. KL looks more modern than 7 years ago. Very good video, Thanks Chris
Thanks so much for the support! Yes definitely naughty massages happening there lol
@Paul I stayed in bangkok for a month and feel chocked by the heat and smoke.
So happy to see Chris is having a great time. Tequila definitely makes Chris smile. Best drink ever
Wow. I just started watching your CZcams videos and I am finding them very insightful and intriguing. Thank you for sharing. They’re quite amazing. Thank you. A real insight into the country of Malaysia.
“Solo don’t drink, GIVE HIM Chocolate milk!”😂
😂😂😂 that was hella funny
Hi Chris, new subscriber here after your video popped up on my FB.
I travel to Malaysia every year for around a month up until pandemic and haven't been back. I have pumped through all your KL videos in the last two days :)
Can't wait to pump through your other vids... prob Turkey next as I just came back from there 2 weeks ago!!!
SS2 is a area for massages and my number 1 fav meal in this world is the nasi lemak ayam goreng from village park, which I'm sure many will agree in Damansara. they normally have huge queues, but during ramadan you can get seated pretty quick during the day
Love your vibe and videos thank you
its not just all about food here, we love to hangout at mamak after work or watching a football or a soccer game there in early morning at 3am.
And don't forget to look to sport center, we do indoor sport like futsal, badminton or ping pong at night start from 9pm up to 2am
😂😂😂
Tq bro respect All people...tq respect Solo because his is muslim...i love u both..stay in Malaysia until Hari raya celebration ok bro ? 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Kuala Lumpur nightlife, very amazing city..peoply is very friendly, many street food delicous
We have non muslim Malaysians who r free to cook , sell or eat pork. Muslims dont buy from these shops. Each to their own beliefs n religion, Chris. Islam doesnt force non muslims to live the way Muslims do.
great to see you Chris on this video and really respect you. that u come to our country and respect our Malaysian people and be happy with then is that really happy moments.😊
Great content. I love it as always. Thanks Chris. 👍👍👍😍😍😍

The night life in Malaysia is vibrant and colorful, glad that you enjoyed the tiger beer, originated from Singapore and available in Srilanka as well.
I love this video. Brings back lots of good memories of when I studied in Malaysia over a decade ago. Mind sharing the gear you used to make this video?
Chris, Tiger beer is actually a Singapore brand and it’s produce by Heineken. Maybe it’s from Malaysia cause they have factory there too.
Anchor beer is Malaysian beer!
Very nice video! keep up this great content! 😊❤️❤️

The night life in Malaysia is lively and brilliant, happy that you partook in the tiger lager, started from Singapore and accessible in Srilanka too.
The foods look so good! Nice vid btw😊
Great video, cheers mate
Thanks a lot bro
13:50 Malaysia has three main races
Malay/Chinese/Indian which makes Malaysia and most chinese here are buddhist
now i know the best place to go with my friends during weekends! 👍👍
In Malaysia our country consists of 3 main races which is Malay, Chinese & Indian plus others like orang asli ( there are many other tribes ) but despite us being a Muslim countries not everyone is Muslims besides the malays, some Chinese are Buddhist, Christians etc. Same goes to Indian people too so not all of us are Muslims and that's why there are restaurants that serves pork for non Muslims Malaysians 💜 hope this explains why there are halal restaurants and non halal restaurants where they serves pork
Malaysia is a democratic secular country and Islam is the religion of our federation fyi!
Perfect timing for a vid release bro I just hopped in bed!!
Perfect timing!!! 😂 hope you enjoy this one!
@@Travelwithchris yeah bro was sickkkk, I think I’d much rather try the Indian street food there in Malaysia as it looks a bit cleaner than indian street food so my soft aussie stomach might not get Delhi belly 😂
also that happy ending street, a few of the working women there were actually stunners!
Yo the drunk Chris vids are the best! 😂🎉
I love to see everyone is enjoying their weekend .
Yes!!!
Tiger beer is a Singaporean brand. But what you're drinking is distilled in Malaysia under Heineken brewery.

As I keep asking, have you heard from Moha recently? Thanks to your link we contacted and did the desert trip with him. Cath rode Jimmy who you will be pleased to know is fine. Great people great time and defo going again. Enjoying your vlogs as ever and will continue to support you. We hope Gladys is ok too. Moha spoke fondly of you both and your mum. 👍✌️

Tiger beer
Singapore
Tiger pioneered a new category of Asian Beer and created the quintessential brew in the process. From Malayan Breweries Limited in Singapore, the world's first batch of Tiger Beer greets the world with a refreshing beer for a tropical climate.
tourists explore KL City better than me!! welcome to Malaysia 🇲🇾

Thank you chris it is awesome
Chris love your podcasts man I’m now in kula lumpur after watching you videos
Thank you so much, I hope you're enjoying your time in KL!
Yes mate loveimg it so cheap !
Times Square of KL. Michelle Yeoh just won the Oscar's -- and this is a fitting "holler holler" for Malaysia. Sirens pretty annoying tho'. The massage strip somehow discreet lol -- the heat is on in KL 😂(original line from Miss Saigon musical).
"I'm okay right now, thank you." -- Chris
"Happy enin (ending lol)." -- Wayne
Solo and the new recruit tryna elope to virtual madness right through the "happy hour alley".
Such a fun group. Chris got a movement. 👊👏👋
Majority of the masseurs around Bukit Bintang back streets are from thai & vietnam ..but legit foot or body massages for UNISEX clientele. Certainly not hanky-panky stuff (otherwise, those types are in more secluded areas, not main street shops)
Kalimaaaaa shaktideiii (temple of Doom) , 30min fifty ringgit!!!! Happy time!
Welcome to Malaysia, Thank you hopefully you enjoy this trip.
What makes Malaysia an Islamic country that allows all cultures and religions to be practiced in Malaysia. First, because the Malaysian constitution allows the religion and culture of non-Muslim citizens to practice their religious beliefs, culture and language. Second, Islam forbids its people to insult the religion of other races. In a hadith it is also recorded that Prophet Muhammad S. A. W. said, whoever takes the rights of non-Muslims, even if it is little, I will defend them in the afterlife. In Malaysia, even though non-halal restaurants are allowed to operate, gambling premises are run, but there must be a signboard stating that it is not halal to make it easier for Muslims to choose halal food for them. The tolerance of the Malays in Malaysia with other races has been going on for centuries, since the time of the Malacca Sultanate in the 15th century. There is no doubt that there are also fanatical Muslims who actually do not practice the true religion of Islam but are just blind followers. The same is true in Malaysia where 4 out of 13 states are ruled by parties that practice fanatical Islam. These people may ridicule my opinion, but their group is a minority.
Thanks for that explanation!
You're great . Thanks show a beautiful our country
I love the videos Chris love from Houston 💯🔥
Much love bro! Thanks for watching!
Do visit Singapore soon chris.!
hey chris you should come to HK! i would love to see u aroound here, even dou there is less stuff going on here
Those shawarma are the BOMB. I'd go at 2am. It's so good with the cheese and yogurt on the side. KL is awesome.
Authentic Chinese style beer is beer with ice cubes or drink it from a plastc bag. Tiger beer is from Singapore

Tiger Beer is from Singapore. It’s considered imported beer in Europe and is actually more expensive and yet Europeans love Tiger Beer.. haha shrugs
the worst beer ever
Just becareful when u ordering at the damascus shawarma outlet.because some people already claim that they overcharge when you paying using credit/debit card..just check when u paying.
Dang , thanks for that heads up!
Ur most welcome.
the tiger beer is actually made in malaysia, but was founded in singapore back in the 1930s (singapore hasnt left malaysia yet)
Chris just so you know Tiger beer is local from Singapore :) Love your videos man keep it up
ahahha now I know! Thank you bro!
Tiger beer is from Singapore...as far as I know...Great to see a night out in KL as i will be there myself soon....thanks gentlemen
Generally speaking it's not illegal to sell pork, most non-halal stuff will show up at non-halal areas like Jalan Alor. Most major shopping malls' food court don't have pork so that non-muslims can go enjoy food (if you notice). Just those small untold rules in Malaysia, don't worry too much about it. 😅
Really love KL nightlife vibe.
Yes!! Such a good vibe!
Great Video ! Great City !
Night life looking amazing 🎉❤
It is a good time!
Hi Chris, our religion is stated in our birth certificate and also ID card, so if there's authority checking on Muslims drinking alcohol, the ID will be checked first. If there's any religion changes, the ID also need to be updated at the Registration Office. And we Asians generally can tell from facial/body features which races other Asians are from ie between Chinese vs Pinoy vs Thais vs Vietnamese, or between Malaysian Javanese/Malays and Indonesian Javanese/Malays.
Your friends are so nice. I love when you respect the Muslim guy when it comes to drinking alcohol.
🙏🏻❤️
Look very nice and beautiful kuala lumpur at the night
Oh we early today, let's goo
Ayyyy 💪🏻 yes I hit that publish button early! Hope you enjoy this one!
I will come back to Beijing China in middle of June from Chiangmai Thailand. If we match the time and the location, I can be your primary guide 😊
Tiger beer is Singaporean. Chang beer is Thai. Anchor is a local Malaysian beer
Thanks a lot!
