TTArtisan 27mm F2.8 for Fujifilm X-Mount Review | Autofocus Test + Photo samples

I have been using the TTArtisan 27mm F2.8 pancake lens for Fujifilm X-Mount. For Fujifilm shooters, the TTArtisan 27mm F2.8 lens is a very affordable lens for everyday shooting. At a 40mm equivalent focal length on the Fuji X system, this lens can produce images just like the Ricoh GRIIIx.
In this video, I talk about my experience in using this lens for everyday shooting. I also talk about the autofocus performance, and the issues I found when using this lens.

I sold my Fuji 27 after getting this lens. I don’t understand why everyone criticises the aperture ring. It is PERFECT! It is the only lens I NEVER accidentally move. But it’s super easy and smooth to move if you actually intend to and grab the grippy tabs in the aperture ring. Literally it’s perfection imo.

I owned the tt 27 and it is a great deal for the money. For me though the vignetting is too heavy. I sold it and bought the fujifilm 27mm and i am much happier. You need the most from your lens. Especially when using a lower resolution camera like my favorite. X-E1

The TT 27mm has great advantage in pricing and it’s a nice pancake lens for beginners who are looking to try a prime lens on their new Fuji camera. The Fuji 27mm has the advantage in weather sealing and less vignetting which gives more confidence in shooting outdoors. I actually like both lenses!

Hi Chris! Glad you are back making videos. TTartisan released some affordable AF lens recently, like the 35 1.8 and 56 1.8. But the Viltrox 56 1.7 drew my attention as well, really tempted to buy one as my first portrait lens with the crazy $999 HKD price 😂

I found this lens for $5 at the clearance section of my local camera shop and I used it recently which impressed me with the image quality. Unfortunately the usb-c lens cap wasn’t included, just a generic X-Mount lens cap. Still, it was an amazing bargain.

Some really nice shots, the lens looks perfect for sharp snapshots at f8 without the vignette. If I want to do portraits, I don't mind the vignette at f2.8. I think this is a nice little everyday carry lens that you run when you do not need a shallow depth of field or high aperture at night. Really helpful video as you showed the lens on different bodies, I own the X-S20 and wanted to see the size, thanks for that
