Just my own experience, I saw a lot of the cabin crews have bandages on their wrist and it turns out from all the baggages they have put on the cabin unit, passengers has been told to only carry 7kg on board but still carrying more and some passenger thinks they have the privilege on the cabin crew and some cannot work for weeks coz they need to make for recovery and even worse some have to quit their job cause mainly having back injuries. Still, they are human being, cannot expect them to do everything for you and the reason they are there to make sure you arrive safely. Much respect to them.
If you really want it then nothing will stop you. Before I joined, I had dry frizzy hair, uneven skin tone and VERY crooked teeth. I was also on the "curvy" side. I gave myself 3 months and worked on fixing everything before I went for the walk in again. I made it and you can too!

Theres a valid reason why theres a minimum height to become a cabin crew. The over head compartments is quite high, how can you close it if you cant reached it with your hands?
Obviously, flight attendants don’t need any other knowledge, let’s say calculus or thermodynamics. Well you only need; a presentable physical appearance, good communication skills and that’s that.
Not really they need to study all the safety measures (learnt to swim, natural disaster evacuations, terrorist attack etc), first aid, aviation regulations, geography, social studies,immigrations procedures and regulations, airport management, gov welfare, etc. Well they still need to do calculation cause all the sales on board counted per flight but if the aircraft has been flying for 4 times a day with 150-160 passengers per flight? I doubt that’s all the qualifications they need to be a cabin crew.
Working as cabin crew is not about looking glamourous while wearing the uniform. There's a lot of things happened behind the scene. Its not only about appearance wise or good communication skills. As a cabin crew, they have to undergone a couple of months of serious training about safety, first aid with endless exams just to earned the certificate to work & fly. Safety Comes First. I am proud to be one of them. P/S : youll be surprise with some of the knowledge they have cause most of the cabin crew is well educated. Its the passion in them that makes them fly soar above thee skies...
You will be shocked to see some candidates who have the full presentation package of a cabin crew yet quit after a week or two of training. I underestimated them myself before I joined. I always wondered why crew complain how tiring their job is. I never questioned after operating my first flight. If all we need were a presentable physical appearance and good communication skills then how come we have to go through almost two months of training?
Well if you've had training & experience on any given subject for that task or job, it would make you somewhat of an expert . But from personal experience I've seen people with the same expertise and knowledge on subjects like thermodynamics freeze up when their loved ones are dying 30,000ft in a pressurised container going at 0.78 mach. At no point did any of that come in handy just like this comment. It's easy to sit and criticise when the only bitter truth is that you can't live in your book and write about the world, that's not how it works. But like the saying goes "Nothing in the world is more dangerous than sincere ignorance and conscientious stupidity." Martin Luther King. Live a little more outside & stay safe 🙏🏻
