    Really phoned that one in. You should just offer this in kit form, as it is made entirely from off--the-shelf components. I especially liked when the ac breakers moved when switching on. I guess that din rail could use a few more screws.

      The line is constantly supplying people and there not storing it in there batteries unless there is an emergency, so you could only add more batteries. You take the blue pill the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill you stay in Wonderland, and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes. Remember all im offering is the truth. You need more batteries.

    "Please make sure that the 2 solar arrays have the same operating voltage and not partially shaded. If the operating voltage is mismatched OR partially shaded, this can cause current backflow and may damage the solar arrays". - So, I understand that the two legs are connecting two arrays in parallel, so the panels must be the same type and amount (e.g. 3x 450Watt panels on each leg). HOWEVER, how do you control shading or different power totals if you have the 2 separate legs facing slightly different directions (e.g. South and East). The total power will vary throughout the day. Or if something blocks or shades a panel at a particular point. I know most modern panels have pass through diodes to prevent many problems. So, I am slightly confused on the "Disclaimer" on damaging solar arrays because one panel gets blocked...

    • @RenogySolar
      @RenogySolar  Před 2 lety

      Hi, wtytke.
      When the panels get blocked, it actually will affect the power and voltage of the panel. Please try to ensure that it is not blocked so that it does not damage the solar arrays.

      @@RenogySolar What happens when a cloud blocks part of a panel array or something interferes (a bird lands on one of the panels) - Panels get blocked all the time or a cell goes bad, etc... From your own website on your 450W panels (which I just purchased!) "The built-in bypass diodes protect the solar cells from overheating, allowing the solar panel to perform during accidental shading by bypassing the underperforming cells."

    I plugged in the 8 panels that shipped with the kit to one solar array and there was loud popping and smoke coming out of the breaker switch. Now my battery lights are solid red and not working. What do you think happened? can it be fixed?

    This is almost exactly what I'm looking for, its just a shame the breakers wobble when they are turned on/off. It doesn't give me much confidence in build quality.

    • @RenogySolar
      @RenogySolar  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi, annagilda1.
      The circuit breaker itself is installed on the slide rail and is detachable. If the force is too strong, it is normal to shake. Please don't worry too much about this.

    Does this always need to be connected to a grounding rod? What about an in an RV?

  • @t.d.harris1311
    @t.d.harris1311 Před rokem

    Don't understand the grounding, if this unit is to be hooked to a sub-panel via a transfer switch going up to a main panel that is earth grounded, why have the Lycan grounded with a rod. Generators have to be floating neutral in order not to cause a problem in the panel, please explain.

    • @Renogy_Cares
      @Renogy_Cares Před rokem

      Connecting to the distribution panel only grounds the internal inverter output GND of the Lycan. External grounding of the Lycan is done to ground the entire device's metal casing. None of the above will result in neutral point grounding, and it will not affect the device's floating neutral.

    Is there a plan to make a 5000 watt split Phaze unit like this? This is almost the unicorn device I'm looking for? I need 120v 30 amps for my tiny home electrical. But I need also 220v split Phaze for my mini split, hot water heater and well pump. With this unit I couldn't go full off grid 😭, but much better product it seems then the plastic competition.

      @@RenogySolar please, one more question. I want to buy this and 2 extra batteries. I use 6000watts in one day, and want some back up. I'm wondering what solar panels I can use to max out the solar input. I was looking at Qcell Quantum 480 watt panels that are available locally, but I heard in another video that you have to stick to the voc limitations. Maybe there is a data sheet explaining what to look for in panels? Thanks.
