- This video is broken up into a review, demonstration on two different bags, and a close-up look. I cover everything about the glove and answer some of the questions that I had when I was first looking for a new glove. These gloves are on the more expensive side so I wanted to offer everyone and in-depth look for anyone hesitating to spend a lot of money on boxing gloves.
These gloves are about $200 on Amazon. I think they are worth the money, and I tell you why in the video.

The foam used in Reyes is specialised I was skeptical at first I bought Cleyto Reyes head gear and its like night a d day getting hit on the front and side of the head. I've been hit full blast and no migraines the foam disperses the damage it bounces back the foam. The gloves I love! REYES
Which headgear specifically ? Can you provide a link. I’ve been looking for something like that.
Stitching a d dimensions are perfect and the Velcro looks great
Great observations!
Why are the EXTRA padding gloves less expensive than regular trainers??
Nice video 👌🏼... I would love to have them in lace up
I’m not sure if they have lace up, but there are other cleto Reyes gloves that come in lace up.
Good day friend. Thanks for the great review of these gloves. I want to buy myself the same, but I can't decide which one to buy: 14 oz or 16 oz. Could you tell me what your hand size is and what length of wraps you are using. This will help you make the right choice. Thanks you!
Id say just get the 16 oz. if they don’t fit then you can always return them and get new gloves. I don’t know how long my hand wraps are but I know they’re on the longer side so I don’t run out of wrap (go for the extra length if you tend to run out of wrap).
Nice thanks for this man! What size hand, weight and height are you so I can get a rough idea on my size
5’7” about 143. I have no idea what size hands but I would say they’re a small from a Small, medium, large scale.
Were the heavier gloves wider overall, or was it just the hand compartment that was wider? If the heavier gloves were wider, is that what makes them heavier -width alone? Or do the heavier gloves sit longer on the arm / are bigger all round? Thanks.
I think it’s the overall glove that is bigger. That means all of the dimensions will be bigger. More padding, more leather, more length, more width.
Was there more padding over the knuckles with the 16 Oz?
Have they got any odor build-up in them? And if not do you do anything specific for them to stay odorless
I would imagine but I haven’t really noticed it to any serious extent. The good thing about this headgear is that it’s completely covered in leather (possibly synthetic leather, I’m not sure what type it is). This prevents most of the sweat from staying in the material and also makes it super easy to clean. If you wipe your equipment down once a week then you won’t have any issues. I have used headgear that used cloth inside and that is a little harder to clean and also soaks up a lot more sweat. However those type of headgear will move less when you get hit because there’s more friction.
It’s a give and take. If you like something that won’t move as much then get a cloth interior that sticks to your face more.
If you want something that is easy to clean, then the leather or synthetic leather interior will be more ideal. Will move around a little more but if you tighten it up really good it won’t be as bad.
are this good for kickboxing training?
They should be good for kickboxing. The only thing that could be an issue is being able to open your hand all the way. These gloves make it a little bit harder to open your hand up completely. That should only be relevant for clinching. Otherwise these are good for kickboxing too.
Can you use this for kickboxing?
Yes I think so. They should work for any kind of training that requires punching. They are not the best for clinching because it’s somewhat difficult to grab ahold of someone but that’s typical for any kind of boxing glove.
I can barely hear you.i can hear the Velcro loud and clear
Haha sorry I did my best with what I had, I wasn’t using a microphone or anything. Thanks for the heads up though I’ll make sure I talk louder in future videos 👍
