it would be nice if they could do more patterns with the softweave like they do with the leatherette.
I like both materials, it's really hard to pick one! But as long as the noise problem is non-existent I'd probably go for the leatherette.
I must say ....softweave only on the 2020. 2022 is so rough... although you would think it can outlast the neo, but im sure after 2 years when SL launch their new version, you will get the newer again. Leatherette it is for me, it look and feel much comfortable and premium. own 2020 softw. and 2022 neo.
The issue that people don't realize with the softweave (if it isn't 100% water & sweat proof) and breathable materials is that your sweat is going to soak into the foam and not be removeable. Over time it will smell & give that salty sweat smell. The even worse part is the smell that can gather from farting while sitting on it over time.
Febreeeeeze, hopefully, also don't eat oysters or a lot of fresh chocolate chip cookies before sitting on it lol
Do u think using a waterproofing spray will help?

I think I would get the leather since I have always AC On during the summer. also I am sure I would destroy it with food if I get the Softweave. Secretlabs has skin in their accessories section for these chairs, whenever I change my mind I can buy a skin instead :). Thanks fo the video.
Leatherette for me. This will be my Christmas and Birthday Gift at the same time. Working from home is no joke, and Wayfair has tested my last nerve! Time for a quality chair.

Softweave,, AZ temps, a/c went out once,, I can see sweat being a definite issue, but the leatherette has a nice finish to it
I live in AZ too and am shopping this chair. What's your verdict? Leather or Softweave (or buy leather with a skin you can take off)?
I just received a Secretlab Titan EVON Titan Leatherette in Black.
The box was well padded, instructions were very clear, but what these reviews don’t mention is the formaldehyde like smell from the chair materials. I’m currently airing it out and hopefully the strong nauseating smell will disappear. Overall, the materials are sturdy, good framing, but the lumbar support looks lame. I’ll have to try it out for at least a week or two to determine if it justifies the $580 price tag. Good luck

@Majd Al-Malliji - after six months, it’s ok. Is it worth $500+? No. I had to purchase a PURPLE seat pad that cost me about $120. If you like firm chairs, you won’t be disappointed. The lumbar support is garbage. Good luck

good video man just ordered my softweave since my office gets hit by the sun so hard the AC cant cool it at the back of the house sufficiently and around 4pm its like a sauna. Comment for algorythm

I've owned a bodybilt for the last 12 yrs and have loved the chair unfortunately its finally giving out on me so I'm going with a titan Evo xl dark knight edition I hope it can live up to a bodybilt but I just cant see dropping 2K on a chair

Thank you, this video was very informative. I think I will be going with the leatherette. It also seems they don't sell the Barrier Kit anymore. It appears the noise issue only affects some chairs, and if your chair is one of them, you might be able to have a free Barrier Kit sent out. I don't know this for sure, but it's enough for me.

I see that they have 3 diff sizes. Im definitely a smaller one but if i get the regular one for the sake of fitting other people who are big, will it be uncomfortable for me?
Really hard to say as everyone is different. I do find the leatherette to be more comfortable than the softweave so that could help. You could always buy a skin later if you want the softweave feel. If you decide to buy I'd super appreciate you using my link
Okay yeah my household is pretty hot a lot if the time. I’m currently using a $150 “leatherette” type of chair now and I’m constantly sweating even in the winter although I know SL is a lot more premium than that chair but still. I think soft weave black is better for me for this reason even though black usually doesn’t do too good in giving off less heat (think wearing a black shirt in 100 degree weather) but still think it’ll do a better job than the leatherette in terms of sweating. And I do eat/drink in my chair so maybe if I get a black one, stains and stuff like that (if they were to happen), would be less noticeable since it’s darker. Great and informative video. Do you have to get the barrier kit separately?

leatherette for me, as the "black" chair is fully blacked out, to me more understated, and classy, real napa leather was out of stock, or I would have gotten that., napa is also fully blacked out. for me cleanup is an issue, I eat and drink at the desk. I must say I am loving my black Sl 2022. in coastal Texas, for sure have AC!
hey Jacob, little question, does your chairs have a little of "free-play" when lock, I mean, my chair slightly rocks back and forth even when locked, dunno if its normal, cheers mate.

Everyone talks about how the fabric is good for hot weather, but my trail of thought leads me to think that it will be more often absorbing your sweat like a towel. Did you have any problems with sweat marks or even smell?
I keep it pretty cool in my apartment so don't sweat much and when I do come back from a jog shower immediately so for me there's been no issue
It definitely is something to consider. We dont see many talks about this but yeah, physically and chemically it obviously smells stronger by the time...
What type of material is the Automobili Lamborghini? I have not seen any quality reviews on it. Thanks

@@JacobDarkOfficial I ended up getting the Titan Evo XL cookies & Cream, memory foam silver arm rest, and a foot rest. Love it! Was replacing a DxRacer Iron series chair. Secret Labs is twice a soft and the original Dx Racers so its perfect. I did do some rough justice tweaking lumbar/back was pressed out a bit far. I took the back off placed on floor and jump and walked around on the lumbar. LOL now its perfect! I figure I bent the rods some holding it so its not pressing into my back now. I do not need lumbar IMO they should offer the chair both ways.

I got the soft weave and my back is absolutely killing me. Any tips on how to fix this? I have tried literally every adjustment the chair can offer and yet my back hurts.
Sorry to hear that, I don't have any helpful advice, that sounds like my experience when I tried the 2020 Titan, but the Evo has been great for me since day one

I’m debating over softweave or leatherette. What’s your thoughts on the comfort between the two, taking temperature out of the equation?
@@jadesale2715 Ive tried both of them in a store and they both practically feel the same as far as comfortability goes, the thing I didn't like about the softweave is like u said, the temperature does go up quite easily so especially during hot summer days, it's the last thing u would want to sit on it, also staining/yellowing could be a big issue with fabric since it seeps into the material, leatherette is the one I went with and feels extremely smooth and comfortable, so imo I do recommend the leather one since the feel is very good and it doesnt have the issues mentioned above with softweave :)
@@vexqty massively appreciate your response. I live in the uk so our hot periods aren’t really a factor since 70% of the year is cold/cool. I’m quite overweight so my thoughts were maybe the softweave would be more comfortable. Also when it’s hot I find sitting on leather to be horrendous. Do the current chairs still squeak? I’ve been looking at other chairs around a similar price like the razer chairs, and I still keep coming back to these.
@@jadesale2715 Yes so, with the leatherette I did notice a squeak, which happens because a small part of the leather moves up and down against part of the seating bracket, I easily fixed this by placing a small object in between so that instantly made the sound dissapear and it's now virtually soundless and easy to install. In my case, it's usually 18-26c weather and by simply adjusting your position every now and then, there's no "sweat" buildup, so it works for me. I also do own the XL version, which holds up to 180KG, so I think this should be no problem for you aswell. I'm personally 95kg but prefer the comfortability of bigger chairs nicer. But other than a quick fix of the squeak, it's the perfect chair, arrived 3 days ago after having the same ikea chair for 5 years and the difference is night and day, i wouldnt want to get out!
