Today we take a look at the Limited Edition Wise Adamascus AD8 Bronze.
Just like EVERY wise I featured on the channel, this one is impecably made, high quality and simply on another level compared to regular microbrands.
I started reffering to WISE as Grand Seiko of microbrands because of how well finished they are and how high QC they have.
Each and every one I reviewed has impressed me with quality and this bronze version with its beauty as well.
Powered by a Miyota 9039 and very slim at 12mm it wears beautifully while the luxurious packaging with an extra rubber strap makes the whole expereince feel special.

Very justified comments. I received a Wise Hitman from my son for Christmas and it indeed is a beautifully prepared watch. One flaw that others may disagree with is the stainless steel strap where it tapers from 20mm to 14mm. As a result the watch head is the heaviest part and the watch will always rotate around my wrist no matter how tight I make it. I prefer a stainless bracelet being 20mm all the way around as it is has better weight distribution. I will be looking at leather or nato straps soon to see if I can tie down this problem. I have a 7.25" / 18.4cm wrist.

Since seeing this vid I've watched other reviews on the Wise AD8 and I think I want one! And I think I might even get the bronze. They have an excellent price vs quality vs style ratio!

Iv just been to Iconsiam & looked at their watches & I must say they’re beautiful watches , I really liked the black diver . I was wearing a Ginault Silent Service which I believe is the best bang for buck but that diver was beautifuly made

I have a few wise watches and feel the same their attention to detail is fantastic and communication if you have any questions is excellent I would recommend them I do love the ad9 they wear beautifully on the wrist so light and just look great even the lowest price hitman is good with the finish as good as the flagship models, I would have brought the bronze ad8 but have already brought 5 or 6 watches over the last couple of months and the wife would have a fit if another watch turned up on the doorstep this month 😂

Just ordered the Hitman full lume dial. I've only heard good things about Wise.
I have their ad7 faux patina. The watch is just incredible and actually killed the hobby for me. I've since downsized as I just don't need or want much else. All of their latest watches just look incredible

I wish instead of 'WISE' on the dial, they used the ornate W from the movement. I feel like the font used for 'WISE' feels generic and cheap. Almost like someone designed the watch and then forgot to package the fonts so it defaulted to a system font. Otherwise, I really love this piece.

How good is the lume??
Pretty ok, it's no Seiko, but it is more than useful
It's a blue lume, so from the start no so bright as a green one but Seiko is no match for Wise after few minutes. Wise has one of the longest lasting lume out there. Check other review and you will see.
It has one of the best lumes out there. My ad8 beats my $1000 seiko handily

When you call the watch “impecably” finished, it doesn’t sound impeccable.
Not worth the price, despite its beauty and features. Also, you will NEVER clean the watch sufficient to reclaim the look that is here in the video -EVER. Particularly in light of the fact that there are polished bits. If you clean the watch today, which is only a day after posting this video, you will not even reclaim the look right out of the package. This is why all of us with a bronze watch that are keen to keep it patina-free, know the futility of trying. I never wear mine anymore and I suspect neither do many other owners wear theirs with any regularity. It's too depressing. It's a gimmick for anyone to own a bronze watch unless you like the look of a watch that has been abused, or carelessly worn.
I also love the look of bronze when it's brand spanking new! And don't like the patina. My buddy has a bronze watch that he's kept looking new for 2 yrs now with very low maintenance. It's just a Seiko SKX mod with a Cusn8 case so he wasn't afraid to try something different.
He dunks it in a jar of dill pickle juice for maybe 20 secs. Rinses it off in water, and dries it. And that makes it look exactly like brand new, and gets into all the crevices without any scrubbing, scratching, or polishing. Then he sloppily wipes on and wipes off some metal polish on it to protect it. And that keeps it looking brand new for months at a time and only takes a few mins.
He made it look so easy I'm not afraid to get one now.
You do not buy a bronze watch to polish it and keep the patina away. What a tool you are
