    This video needs more popularity not only becuase its actually good but because kaiguy shouldn't be able to get away with only 500 out of millions of gd players knowing what he did.

I've always respected Kai for his ability to do what he does for the purpose of money, but idk you do make a good point with all this. if it's true that shit is fucked up. gotta be careful with who you trust with your money and let influence you

    I never really liked kaiguy in the first place, as he just spams brainless gd shorts all day, but this takes me hatred to a whole new level. The fact that he recognised his audience consisted of young people and used that to his advantage by manipulating them into buying his scam program is just wild. I hope some bigger youtubers shine some light on this situation, and, like you said, I hope he gets cancelled before he can do anything worse.

      @@Tecku you connected KaiGuy to Andrew Tate to make Kai seem worse, without explaining why Andrew is bad, because he isn't. You assumed everyone watching would be a Tate hater, as that's what you want this to appeal to: Twitter users that will never stop complaining about people living better lives than them.

    • @Tecku
      @Tecku  Před 11 měsíci +7

      I compared him to andrew tate only because Kaiguy tries/tried to exploit people in a similar way, by starting a self improvement program and charging way too much money and give basically nothing in return. I didn't assume everyone watching would be a tate hater, I assumed everyone watching had enough common sense to see that that's just a shady way to make money. There is a reason why so many people criticize people like andrew tate or now kaiguy. It's not because of the way they live, it's because of how they got there. If that's your only point, then it's a pretty weak one. I don't care if you like kaiguy, but please be honest with yourself for a moment and think about whether or not exploiting a young audience is acceptable

      @@Tecku how is teaching self-improvement (gym, fitness, business) a shady way to make money? While your main point is that it's overpriced and targeted to kids, I think that if it was structured better, and more people got it in the start (none did) it could have been worth the money, as his goal with Infinity School was forming a community of people talking and sharing knowledge about self improvement, to keep each other on track, though it was kinda rushed and literally nobody bought it. He let me in until yesterday, and the only people there were like 7 people he added himself, including me. He removed everyone except admins saying "making changes, hope you understand" so I expect him to release it in a better and cheaper way. He has already anknowledged the scamming accusations thrown around without proof. The initial price was just there to create controversy btw, but he said that the more you pay for something, and that helps you in self-improvement, the more you'll be thinking and caring about self improvement, and you'll be making more progress towards achieving those goals.

    • @Tecku
      @Tecku  Před 11 měsíci +10

      My main points were that it's overpriced AND that you get basically nothing in return. Reducing the price would make it less bad, but still not worth your money in any way. This course, just like every other self improvement program, would offer nothing more than basic knowledge that you can also get on youtube for free or just by living life and gaining experience. No member of this community he wants to create would be a professional at any field, not even KaiGuy himself can possibly know enough about all these things to offer sufficient value for the money you would spend. And even if he somehow knows everything there is to know, it is still up to the individual to take the initiative and do something about their life. Theoretical knowledge can only get you so far and won't help you actually implement it in your day to day life without facing the challenges irl and in that case you might as well just learn from your own experiences by throwing yourself in such situations until you learn what you want to learn. And if the goal of this community is to gain theoretical knowledge, then again, you can gain the same knowledge for free on youtube from people that actually know what they're talking about or just have a friend group that can positively influence each other. To really help someone change their life, you would have to spend hours everyday being there for this one person, observing every little step they take to point out mistakes they don't notice, which would be impossible to do for KaiGuy alone even if only 20 people join his community because he can't possibly be there for each individually and time zones make it even harder. Exchanging a few messages isn't enough so the knowledge can't possibly go beyond surface level. This community would be more like a paid friend group sharing their own experiences that aren't even guaranteed to help you or teach you new stuff. And if you wanna talk fitness and business, let me tell you something. I've been doing fitness for 7 years now, there are plenty of channels that can teach you all the knowledge you need, but knowledge isn't everything. If you do exercises just slightly wrong, you can seriously injure yourself or worse. Often times you don't even notice that you're doing something wrong while exercising. A course on the internet can't help you with that. You need someone who is there with you when you do fitness to correct your mistakes. And when it comes to business. Do you really think a guy who got popular by making geometry dash shorts and clickbait can teach you about business in general? All he can do is tell you how he got popular, which isn't difficult to figure out. Make shorts cuz that's popular and can gain you many views very quickly, figure out an audience to target which in his case are young kids, make clickbait content aimed at that audience because they just eat up everything you throw at them as long as it somewhat follows current trends or is somehting overly spectacular like impossible stuff, challenges, wave, and so on. Don't be monotone in your videos and try to be as extroverted as possible so people don't get bored, figure out interesting and over the top titles that people want to click on, learn to make colorful thumbnails, feed the algorithm enough and hope to get lucky. CZcams is always about luck, most popular youtubers who are honest to themselves can tell you that. All you can do is minimize the amount of luck needed to succeed by doing the things I mentioned before and more. I admit the term "scam" is a very strong one in this context, but what he does is still exploitative and the way he sold it was manipulative by making it seem like people are wasting their life just because they do things in their free time they enjoy rather than things that improve their life. Don't get me wrong, wanting to improve your life is not a bad thing, but it's also totally fine to just enjoy life the way you want. Not every minute of your time has to be used to improve yourself and if you really want to improve yourself, there are so many better ways to go about it than paying money to enter a community full of people that don't know much about self improvement either. Everyone has their individual struggles and it's very unlikely that a bunch of untrained people know the answers to your personal issues. KaiGuy knows that his audience consists of mosty young people and he knows that they are easy to manipulate without questioning what he says which is why there are people that defend his actions with simple and unthought out statements like "what's wrong with teaching self improvement". That is not the point. It's not about what he supposedly wants to achieve, it's about how he wants to achieve it. If he really wants to help people improve, he could do it in so many other ways. For example start a channel about self improvement and having a patreon so people that are happy with his service can support him additionally. That way he achieves his supposed goal of helping people without forcing them to pay and charging too much money, but still offering a way to do so if they choose to. But in his video he said that he also does it for the money so it's obvious why he chose to go about it the way he did. It also gives me a hard time believing that he initially charged this much only to create controversy so people talk about it and not because he hoped people would actually buy into it. Him saying the more you pay for something that helps you in self improvement, the more you will be thinking and caring about it and you will be making more progress is such a weak statement. It doesn't just apply to self improvement, it applies to everything else you paid a lot of money for because you want to try your best to feel like you haven't wasted your money, that's not exclusive to self improvement, that's human psychology. Obviously you will think and care about it more because otherwise you just wasted a lot of money. In that case self improvement isn't your main drive, it's the money that might be wasted and this can literally apply to everything else in life you pay a lot of money for. Justifying a purchase for something you believe is valuable to you, no matter how little that is actually the case is a normal human trait. If you spend a lot of money on something, you want it to be worth it. You try to convince yourself as hard as you can that the thing you just spent a lot of money on was actually worth it ignoring every other aspect pointing the other way because that would make you feel bad. That's the only reason why you would care about it if nothing else makes you feel that way.
