- In this video, I take a deep dive to see if Kings Islands next coaster will be in the Vortex plot of land or somewhere else and consider all of the options they have for their next coaster and what would be best for the park.

For what it's worth, that rumor of Cedar Fair execs being impressed by Velocicoaster was reported by ElToroRyan who was also the first person to report that Top Thrill Dragster was being redone by Zamperla.

Kings Island desperately needs an RMC!!!
Such a great video! Very well thought out. We also are predicting a Vekoma multi launch to be the next Coaster at KI. We agree with your idea of a package deal they probably got. Our wish would be an extreme spinner, but cost will prohibit it. Cheers!

The next attraction will probably be in the Waterpark. The cycle seams to be roller coaster, flat ride, kids ride, waterpark.
I would love a Vekoma like Lech! That coaster looks amazing!!! I agree with your idea about maybe KI getting a Vekoma package deal with Snoopy’s Soapbox Racers. When they announced it, that was my first thought. F.L.Y. would be an awesome option too. A nice nod to Firehawk.

They need to keep Congo Falls; the more water rides the park has the better! It would be a great idea if the new coaster went in the Invertigo spot and went out over the main entrance plaze and into the parking lot then coming back, kind of like what Leviathan does at Canada's Wonderland, it could also go over Congo Falls, that would be awesome! I think it is time Cedar Fair added a coaster to the front of the park, the Vortex plot can wait a little while longer.
Don’t think they will get rid of timber wolf with the shows but they could incorporate it in there like it goes through the top
Remember that plans can shift last minute. Even if Vortex was removed last minute they can still put the next coaster in the Vortex plot. Remember Covid messed up a lot of plans. Also Vortex wasn't the only coaster in the CF chain to be suddenly removed last minute. Stinger closed without warning in 2017 same with Volcano in 2018 and Stinger is being replaced by Iron Menace this season and Volcano is heavily rumored to be replaced with a launced wing in 2025 based on leaks. If 2026 is KI's next big addition, it would be the same amount of gap between Vortex closing and the opening of its replacement as Stinger (Iron Menace) and Volcano (2025 wing).

KD is definitely getting the wing coaster as they've submitted plans for review to the Hanover County planning board recently.
Oddly enough the official documentation lists the project as a 2024 expansion however.

Working at the park there’s rumors that half Action Zone is closing in a year or so.Drop had major issues this past season while Bat is becoming more aged.Congo had pipe explode mid season so it couldn’t open before summer ended.My guess is Vortex land first while Action Zone Closes weeks after 2025/2026 announcement is made!

The problem is you can't replace vortex because then you won't have the money to replace anything in action so it would make sense to just wait and invest 30 to 40 million dollars into that area because a coaster would take up 20 plus of that unless it's like RMC or vekoma then some flats

See this is really interesting because I had made my own little prediction about 2 years ago that action zone is either on the removal list or is going to get a major revamp. Im more and more confident as time goes on that this area is going to get some serious reworking done or even an entire re-theme.
I wish Cedar Fair would just build an updated version of Vortex. Same exact design but rebuilt with brand new materials. It might sound looney to those who’ve never been to Kings Island. But like me and many others the Vortex was cherry on top of annual visits to Kings Island.

Im Thinking they'll put in a coaster near action zone that opens in 2025-2026 and retheme The Bat, Delerium, and Drop Tower possibly to like all mythological creatures like Banshee. Then around 2028-2028 the'll put a coaster where Vortex used to be.
edit: depending on where they put the coaster in action zone, it was reduce the long walk to the BAT
or just in general add a Hybird similar to Steel Venegence but different enough and keep it action zone
They're known for the wooden coasters build yet another :D How about one with the spike like the one in Texas. Small and effective or tilt coaster would be really neat. I want something different not same ol thing. I'm old school so I like wooden coasters the most.
I am all for that idea. Trash timber wolf congo falls,, and invertigo for a kick ass record breaking flyer or surf coaster.
They also need to fill in a very particular building: the former home of one of the greatest rides ever built.
I'll forever be salty with Cedar Fair for destroying such an amazing ride.

I find it quite interesting that you didn’t mention zamperla since we’ve now seen cedar point bring in zamperla for two coasters, it wouldn’t surprise me at all if zamperla is doing a ride for kings island.

If Kings Island got a surf coaster they could name it Kings Cobra after the former Togo stand up that operated there. I’ve noticed cedar fair lately has given parks new additions that are re incarnations of classic rides, we got this with Wild Mouse at Cedar Point and Zambezi Zinger at WOF, I will say tho I’d rather that be a later addition for kings island as it feels we have enough B&M roller coasters. Ik I’m on board with a launch coaster at Kings Island but I even think maybe they could get a Zamperla Lightning Launch, based off the video Zamperla showed of the lightning launch coaster it looks pretty on par with an Intamin Blitz. I do really hope the cedar fair executives rumor is true cause for years I’ve said Kings Island needs an Intamin Blitz
I think Action Zone will be remarkably different in 2034 than it is today. I think Invertigo. Congo Falls and The Bat will all be gone by 2034. I think they will have 3 more coasters by 2036. The Vortex replacement and 2 in the current Action Zone. I do think the Vortex replacement will be 2025 or 2026, the next one in 2029 and the last of the 3 in 2034. I would love to see a custom ground up RMC on ALL of The Bat land. All of it.
How about a huge Chance Hyper GT? Most underrated model out there. I know it'd be too similar to Mystic Timbers with the current layouts of GTs, but they could customize it to have inversions and a launch(es).
That would be awesome, I just based my guess of of who cedar fair is working with and rumors that have spread but I would love to see a GtX
I know for 100% fact it is not mack one price and two I have heard from a kings island executive that it's not but we wouldn't be disappointed and my first thoughts went to RMC and intamin and she was still standing right there and didn't say anything so that could be important. Also I have talked to Kings employees in the past that said outpost 5 will not be removing outpost 5 from their understanding and also many former kings island employees have said vortex was not supposed to be removed and something came up and it will either remove it or retrack the whole coaster. Also not mentioned here are their stickers in the flight of fear building that read PSV-25 and 26 which were not on son of beast trains but have the same labeling with that map focusing on dates and then being right near outpost 5. Then final thought you won't even have to remove timber wolf or Congo falls to use this plot you can work around them.

Who was this "KI executive"? Remember seasonal employees don't know what is coming and anyone who does know whats coming has to sign an NDA promising they won't say anything about it to anyone and they would lose their job if they do.
@@bigblueamusementproductionsI don't know their name because I only talked to them for a second but this was coaster stock where a ton of ki employees and executives where so it seems believable and also saying the details and just saying it's not something are very different because i still don't actually know anything

@@noahd2716 after you exit flight of fear walk though that building to like the end of it and you see a case that has a map in it and the stickers are on that next to outpost 5 in action zone

@@patrickn8355 In my opinion Orion is one of the best additions to KI and has some incredible theming when you compare to cedar fair 7-10 years ago. There are also many other models that KI could go with that could be an attention getter like the tilt coaster. I see where your coming from, and extreme spinner would be awesome, I just don’t see them taking that route

If anyone looks at it adventure Express has some clues for what it's going to be in the son of beast land it's going to be a single rail rmc or a group that has a single rail because the Mayan god has a single rail vest restraints and it says five is alive so if rmc was around when son of beast was around it would of been rmced

I heard the structure of the wood wasn’t good, the way it was built paramount took over construction themselves. It wasn’t built right from what I remember.
