A few people asked for a tutorial on how to make a TD in my other video, so here it is! If you have any problems when following the tutorial as I edited it too much then I’ll try to help in the comments here

At 29:48 you can buy a tower which can also be called a unit, although the “unit” I made was just a circle holding a terribly designed gun, but you can make your units wayyy better in the design aspect, this tutorial was for the mechanics on how to make a tower defense, not the design. That’s what I think you mean by unit in the tower defense game, I might be completely misunderstanding.

So uhh.. sorry, plus it’s much harder to use a tutorial reading text rather than watching a video or something.

You can still revert your obby which allows it to go back in time bassically, your obby automatically saves when your building and you can go back to one of those saves, you can do this by going in the settings and clicking the button that says “revert current obby” and then confirm by clicking the same button again; next click the time which you want to revert to. If you don’t know how to fix the mistakes; put what’s not working in your tower defense obby here in the comment section and I’ll try to help.
hey man! This is actually cool! what I have been looking for. After I saw your replies in the pinned comments, I got my answers rn. also I didn’t watch all of it. So i’m asking if u added farms (gives money each round)
Thanks! Nope, I did not add farms all I did was add the one basic unit and then add a few more of those and you could change some of the stats to make different towers out of it but not a farm. But a farm is quite simple you just have to make it so every time a new wave is started the button makes all the parts invisible for .3 sec to gain 1 extra dollar every round or make the parts invisible for more time if you want to gain more currency every round. That’s about it pretty simple, and that’s how you make a farm tower, if you want I can go into more detail. (Also your one of the few people who actually read some of the comments and what I answered before asking yourself with reading, Ty)
Btw little tip if u have bosses:if the conveyor is too thin just use tp parts at the part where the boss/es get stuck,oh and i tried getting a track going up and down. dont JUST DONT ESPECCIALY WHIT IMAGES, hope this helped. BYE

Edit: That won’t work, I haven’t tested it but there’s a limit; the limit is that only 4 different buttons can select the same part; no more, so that limit wouldn’t allow this to be possible. Unless if you do what I’m thinking right now but that would waste too many push blocks. But very cool idea.
Some people asked for a tutorial on how I made my tower defense when I made a video showcasing it, so I made a tutorial, I have indeed seen the part 1 tutorial one stud cubed made, but I didn’t fully watch it I just saw the beginning then left. But some of what I did was indeed similar to his if I remember correctly, so yeah. But, if you want to do it in other ways, like moving parts, it gets much more complex so I did it this way as it’s more simple + at the time when I made the tutorial I didn’t know how to do it with moving parts as the enemy’s and stuff.

as a developer building a tower defense game right now,i feel like obby creator is a good games for mobile players who are planning to be a developer using roblox studio this is a great game for a starter builds.
Yup, obby creator is indeed wayyy easier than making an actual game, of course there are more limitations and stuff but in general it’s much easier as you don’t have to code at all, you just have to know how to “code” using the push blocks and buttons and stuff. And since it’s easier, it lets people play around and some wanting to make actual games after a bit like you said. @@kamusgold3455 that is true you have to find the parts to make it kill and spin and all those stuff and making guis are not easy AT ALL scripting also need at least 1 years of skill to make a basic game and lua are also hard but people who want to build obby creator is the one.

For this, specifically the obby that I used for this tutorial, I used *450 parts,* although that’s including all the extra that I didn’t remove but that’s the amount of parts used. Using text instead of numbers is a great way to reduce the amount of parts but the downside is that it could hashtag because Roblox registers it as a number so it could hashtag but the number models can’t hashtag, so they both have their ups and downs and it’s up to you to decide!
True, I kinda forgot about using textures there but yeah. When I first started making the tower defense game; it was pretty hard, as I wanted to Improve so I gave myself a challenge to make a functional tower defense. It took a while figuring out everything but it was fun, also at the time there were no fully made tutorials on how to make a tower defense, like they said there would be a part 2 or 3 but there never was. So after I finished making the tower defense; I made it into a video, and I got a few comments asking for a tutorial. So I made a fully edited tutorial, but when I say “fully edited” I really just mean that I shortened it as much as possible and nothing else, well except the music and few things that were added in the screen over the video. Then the tutorial was finished and I uploaded it onto CZcams, the only fully finished tutorial on how to make a tower defense in obby creator! Of course I could have Improved some things in the tutorial, but it was mostly fine. And that’s.. well.. that’s more like just a summary on how this video came out.. but it kinda shows how I figured out how to make the whole game.

I’m good! Because I make videos on what I enjoy making on that moment, not just Ability Wars because it gets a lot of views. So yes I might uhh make considerably less Ability Wars videos.
It’s in the Tutorial the first one but I’ll explain it here, so the enemy’s are push blocks, (entities) and the towers make a respawn part (resets entities) visible, so the tower makes the respawn part visible for .1 sec and if the push block is touching that respawn part when it’s made visible, the push block gets reset to its original location, that’s how the “damage” system works.
I’m imagining that when you say “coin system” you mean that after you win or lose you get a certain amount of coins (different currency), and this currency is used in the lobby to buy towers to use in the match and stuff. If this is correct I’ll explain how to do this with another comment, why am I not explaining here? Because there’s the chance that that’s not what you meant when you said “coin system”.
@@kamusgold3455 also i doubt nobody know this system that holds up to 1 million. Like every video talks about money system that only holds to 100 or even 200. Once i realize"Oh wait i can make this. Then its more than 100 200" so i tested it out. It works
It was *.25* but I also commonly use .5 and 1 as it makes it easier to move but at the same time more annoying as I keep having to change between .25, .5, and 1 but just use .25 not that it matters too much unless if you make detailed stuff but yeah.

So first copy and paste your unit and 2 pieces of code put the 2 pieces of code by side, the 2 buttons that I said to lengthen should be lengthened to where the other conveyor belt is at, delete the first invisible button which is where your push block spawns in at, if it’s already not there then your fine. Now with the 3 buttons one from one conveyor belt and the other 2 from the other one, re-select them exactly how you selected it with the first example I made, but with the other unit. Now copy and paste your buy at the map, and re-select it exactly like how I did with the first example. Move your unit and buy to where you want it to be at, make the unit collide off and invisible. Then boom it should be working. If it didn’t then you did something wrong also this is for the same unit not a new one. Sorry if this is more confusing than the actual video, it’s easier to watch than just follow text so yeah.

Heya! Quick tip! Add walls to the path make then invisible so the enemy dosent get out of the path
You can also make a button infront of the tower,so when an enemy gets to it it fires its gun,and not rapidly firing when theres nothing.

So first copy and paste your unit and 2 pieces of code put the 2 pieces of code by side, the 2 buttons that I said to lengthen should be lengthened to where the other conveyor belt is at, delete the first invisible button which is where your push block spawns in at, if it’s already not there then your fine. Now with the 3 buttons one from one conveyor belt and the other 2 from the other one, re-select them exactly how you selected it with the first example I made, but with the other unit. Now copy and paste your buy at the map, and re-select it exactly like how I did with the first example. Move your unit and buy to where you want it to be at, make the unit collide off and invisible. Then boom it should be working. If it didn’t then you did something wrong also this is for the same unit not a new one. Sorry if this is more confusing than the actual video, it’s easier to watch than just follow text so yeah.
