    From what I've been able to see, the V6 version has two improvements in cleaning the unit .
    - One you already covered partially -- taking the head apart gives you the opportunity to run water over the innards of the head to clean that and not have dirty / smelly water & whatever else you clean off your car windows for example dry there. This is another plus, alongside cleaning the removable rubber stripe .
    - The second bit of cleaning hast to do with the dirty water tank, which from what I've seen in previous models -- those just had a rubber plug that you unplugged to empty the dirty water tank . The V6 has a removable dirty water tank that has a large intake hole on the top that makes it's cleaning (through running clean tap water into it & and throwing the water out) much easier .
    All in all, these are nice maintenance issues that are appreciated .
    I also have one negative issue with my V6 -- it works for a few minutes at a slightly lower setting, and after a few minutes of use the engine starts whirring at a slightly higher pitch -- I have no idea why it does that . :)
    Cheers !

    I bought mine ages ago because I had mirror doors on built in wardrobes when I had them installed , but I still found I get streaks on the finished mirror/s so I'd usually buff it with a paper towel or a car cleaning towel quickly . ( my minds gone blank at the moment , but you know the towels I mean , I'm sure > ) The reason I watched you is I forgot if I had to put solution into the vac LOL or not then when I saw you with the sprayer I had a " Durr " moment . Also I sub'd , they all help on the road to becoming a millionaire You Tuber . good luck .

    I wonder why they got rid of the removable battery like on the 5 as that was useful as batteries lose charge capacity over time and easy to change it when it stars to lose charge but the batteries does have a good life span as dad has the V2 and it still going ok with it being few years old now think it is time to upgrade it to the v6 this vid sold me on it as was thinking of the V5 but like you said in the vid the new head really sets it apart thanks.

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  Před 2 lety +1

      most likely down to manufacturing cost, most people buy on the new sticker price of a unit without thinking of future batteries, so if they can sell at say 69 instead of 71 they will selll alot more units, especially with the competition now making them

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  Před 3 lety +2

      They all weigh about about the same 0.7-0.8kg you don't notice with using them the main difference is the head is more flexible on the WV6 allowing more flexibility with your hand movements, if price isn't an issue i would recommend the WV6 all day long, if the cost is important then there is nothing wrong with the WV2, and the wv 5 is in the middle

      Hi I’ve used it vertically, horizontally, on top of a glass table, underneath the glass table, I’ve never kept it upside down as I’ve always used it with gravity not against it,
      it has worked in all positions, if turned upside dow water doesn’t run out of it, weather it would with extended use or a full tank I don’t know

      @RichManPoorTech  Před rokem

      I don’t know official answer, but I just cleaned my patio door’s trying it from bottom up instead of my usual top down with no issues using my wv6. I started with a empty container and it worked fine with upwards strokes of the patio doors
      so weather you would need to empty the tank more often as you went as the tank filled up might be a possibility but when empty it worked fine, I have also used it on the underside of a glass table again with no issues

    Nice video! I already have the Wv 50, which I’ve had for a great number of years, but I’m thinking of upgrading to the 6 plus N, and I got the impression it has a more powerful motor ? Do you know the answer to that question please? Keep up the great videos oh and subbing to your channel! 👍

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  Před 2 lety +1

      high the only info i can find is that the WV50 has a 12w rated motor and the WV6 has a 10w motor, i don't know if the rated motor on the WV50 is measured in the same way , both units come with the same charger and same voltage battery, but don't confuse motor power, with performance, i have seen 14v bosh ble drill out perform 24v diy brands, the newer WV6 might be more efficient, it might just be a better design, but what i can tell you from using both is that the WV6 is better than the WV50 mainly to do with the new head, but suction is also great

    • @eadjh98
      @eadjh98 Před rokem

      Hi, thanks for the video, with seeing it I decided to upgrade from my WV 50 to the Wv 6, but I’m not to happy with the wv6 I use it mainly for condensation and I’m getting water running down the glass, so I tried using it upside down like I do with the Wv50 which copes quite well, but the wv 6 don’t like to be upside down ? Also I tried using washing up liquid with water on my French doors from outside and found it streaks a bit squeals a bit and I had bubble coming out of the waste water bottle! Have I bought a faulty one? I am going to give it another go later, and if it continues maybe contact Karcher as to a solution! Any ides please.

      Hi i am presuming your on about the professional range WVP 10 model, unfortunately i haven't tried this model but i can confirm that it uses the same cleaning blades as the WV50, WV75, WV2 and WV5 models which i have used, the blade on the WV6 is different which i think is better, the runtime on the wv6 is 100 mins to 35min on the WV10 which has the same runtime as the WV5, however the WVP10 dose have the ability to change batteries as does the WV5, but the WV6 is built in, the water tank is 200ml on the WVP10 compared to 150ml on the WV6, the WV6 is also cheaper, unless you are a professional window cleaner that requires the ability to keep replacing the batteries for non stop operation then in my opinion i would recommend the WV6

    • @RichManPoorTech
      @RichManPoorTech  Před 3 lety

      It’s the rubbing with the pad on the cleaning spray bottle that lifts the dirt on the window itself, leaving behind a dirty soapy water on the window or you could use a sponge, the vac then squeegee and sucks this dirty water away, leaving a dry smear free window. So on really dirty window as long as your soapy water has cleaned the dirty glass then the window vac will leave your window clear
