- In this wide ranging interview, coach Dan "Dance" Malesela talks about:
đ Review of the season
đ Relationship with Chippa Mpengesi
đ Ups and downs of a coachâs life
đ Desire to coach Sundowns, Pirates or Chiefs in future
đ The influence of Ted Dumitru
đ Whatâs wrong with Bafana Bafana
In all Honesty Dan Dance is the most underrated Couches in the country
If he got a team with top Resources like Orlando Pirates, thatâs when people will really see the World Class Couch he is.
I wish he can go and Couch Orlando Pirates đđŸ
That's very true
So true
Lol couches, ke sofa
Like his style of football.Wish he can join Orlando Pirates â ïžnoba ke as a Assistant Coach, but assisting A South African Coach. Imagine BENNI, DAN and SIEMA at Orlando Pirates (with all the ball players that team have) đ€đ€đ€đ€
Yes, he can do very much better I'm telling you
Kaizer chiefs management go and talk with this man if you want glory to the team
This guy style of play is best suite for pirates and chiefs. I personally like him and i wish he could be the next coach of pirates. My only worry is that, I'm not sure if he will able to absorb the pressure at pirates cause is a big team. After all he's a professional, he's been in football for a very long time he can manage. Is just that when a team like pirates hire him, he must be given a chance to adapt. they shouldn't put too much pressure on him. i remember even Pitso at Sundows, there was a time he played Jomo cosmos in Potchefstroom and the fans wanted him to leave but after that he turned the tables around and they started winning everything.
The best Coach in the world.. How I so wish you be given 2years at my beloved Orlando Pirates, I'm quite confident you would make history
I think we need Dan Dance in our national team, this guy can bring something positive believe me, instead of wasting more money with foreign coaches who doesn't understand South African football philosophy đ€đ€đ€đ€đ€
Not beating around the bush sugarcoating answers just direct answers and honesty. Love it and enjoyed it.
Can Dan be part of our technical staff at Chiefs.... Baxter knows how to win.... Dan knows how to play... Zwane knows how to groom..... Plz chiefs sign this man Shepherd will then go and coach our MDC team
Irvin Khoza get this man to Orlando Pirates
I totally agree with you my brother
We need him.
@@sbusisovmasango8007 Sbu ur everywhere đđđ
He'd excel at Pirates, there's quality there...
Dan, I think he can do better at Pirates seriously. His philosophy is very good. I like his style of play
Klarrr
@@dimphoselepe4542 he can become a good coach at Orlando pirates if they can alllow him sign players he wants
One of my best coach that plays a flair, passing lot of urgency with goals and very knowledgeable with football brains. If he needs an expensive player he'll go for a quality not just a player.
We need u mo Kazier Chiefs
The creative part is what most coaches lack of. Most coaches lacks creativeness of knowing what to do once contained by the opponents. Thanks for the wonderful content Mr M
I enjoyed this. Would love to see more coaches and players interviews. Keep it up
What a informative conversation thanks to everyone who contributed đ€đ€đ€đżđŠ
Thoroughly enjoyed this interview. Very insightful and educational. I hope there are players in the PSL who watch this.
Nice interview. Wishing coach Malesela the best of luck in his coaching career
Wish you all the best coach. You are not defined by your current situation (of unemployment).
You are the best. I enjoy watching players applying your philosophy in the field of play
What an honest man, I pray for him to work on a bigger project i.e. Orlando Pirates
Would love to see him taking over Pirates ship
One of the soberest sit downs I've seen in a while. Big up Ntate Mphahlele đđŸ
Beautiful stuff indeed Bra Mahlatseđ
Bra Mahlatse thank you for this enlightening and insightful interview of this great man.
I know I'm 3 weeks late but you have earned yourself a follower of your channel.
Mr Malesela is an excellent coach with a great future ahead of him and you can tell by his words in this interview that when a club signs this man they would also be getting a mentor for the players.
Before Chiefs announced Gavin Hunt I was always saying I would prefer this man at chiefs especially with the lack of philosophy and structure my team found themselves playing with. He was going to bring out the best out of those players in my humble opinion.
Even before they announced that Baxter I was still hoping for this man at Naturena instead. But I would like to wish him well with his business with his wife as well as his football career and hope that one day he gets the recognition he deserves as a top coach in our country.
Great interview, learned a lot from the coach.
Nice Interview with my favourite coach, hope to see more e.g Kgoloko Thobejane, Clinton Larsen etc
This has been really insightful.... I actually think Dance would be excellent in an administrative role. He thinks clearly, talks straight and you can see he has gained a lot of experience over the years. He would make an excellent Technical Director or Football Manager because he also "knows" the game...like Leonardo at PSG
One of the best that South Africa đżđŠ has and I really pray that Dr. Khoza takes note of this passionate and knowledgeable coach.
Motaung here's your man.

I ENJOYED THIS INTERVIEW YA BRA DAN
I wish you all the best in future Mr Malesela... you are very knowledgeable in football. We need people like you at Sea Robbers.
M watching this for the second time now đđđđđđ
We knew Chippa United Because of You... Chippa United Became a team to Beat Under You. You introduced Beautiful Football to them and that also motivated other "Small Teams" I personally think Highly of You and Hope You'll get a Job and be given time to do you work...
Dankie Ta Dan.
very good first point from bra dance about sundowns. quality quality
I hear you coach,I really like your philosophy and blv I have many of your attributes....
He made a lot of sense especially on the issue of players... That they need to take ownership of their careers and make choices that will suit their style of play in terms of the teams they join
Top content, Bra M. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Ngiyabonga mhlonishwa
Top stuff indeed!
Master of the gameâœïžđ.ey uyaz lomuntu, such a good teacher đ.
Great interview! Dan is one of my favourite coaches of all time...it was such a pleasure to work with him...for those who don't know, he is also a great cook LOL. Cheers
One of the best coaches in South Africa, I wish he can come to Pirates,
Father of junior khanya same understanding, same thinking , dance head couch and junior khanya assistant team will playing passing game.
Very very good content đđ
Spot on. JZ chops and changes all the time, maybe heâs spoiled for choice but you need a starting 11
His giving DR KHOZA hints that his AVAILABLE after zanbaur
Dan for Amakhosi thats all im gonna say.
@@lusandamsi376 he can also fit perfectly
Sorry awuthi yam Dr Khoza is useless also my bro .... pirates masilibaleni ngayo ngk
Khoza just needs to trust him, the same thing Motsepe did with Pitso, just give him 3 years Minimum and I believe he'll do wonders with that Pirates team
I don't believe in khoza anymore ngk it seem like ngomnye naye abamosha pirates..... Malesela should be long time in pirates this Guy JZ must go
One of my favourite coach
Can Kaizer Chiefs sign Dan Dance please, Can you imagine what kind of football we would play? Does Chiefs management watch Mr Mahlatse's interview?
Great coach
I can see the pain through face of Dan Dance because of Chippa
Top stuff
Classic đ Westside
This was a great conversation with bra Dan Dance. I like the last part when he says we bring in foreigners to our country but that person is big and his a cow.which is true why not focus on the home grown cows we have at home. Huh. My advice to you bra Dan is that donât rush to get a job look at what happened to coach Gavin take your time and analyse these teams.
RESPECT this coach!!!! STUDENT!!!! Dumitrista!!!!
COACH DANs for pirates, we already missed out on Tinkler, give us a local coach who understands how we play, the former pirates player what more confluence do you need
best coach in the country
I like this guy Dan dance
I still remember a player like Lucky Qaba at Sundonws
One of there best coach in SA, he win a Cup as an Parates player also win a Cup, as a coach with T.s Galaxy.
Come to Orlando pirates, please bra dan.
As much as I like Coach Malesela he can't just go to Pirates without being approached, I hope you understand the gentleman is a good coach and is time for South Africa to consider their own.

Eish the way i am a big fan of Dan Dance I am literally crying he gets back to business. I feel he is important for our football development. He is getting overlooked. Some coaches perform poor but they remain. That's just sad. Good luck Dance my guy
Top notch
Thanks very much
wow!
Please come to bucs coach

We need a couch like you at Orlando not plumber man please to Bucks đđđđŻ
I wish one day a big team can give Dan Dance a chance, even six months will be ohk.... One problem is the players mentality failing to respect the coach
Yazi Iâm getting hints of Junior Khanye here⊠I donât know why but Iâm getting hints.
Same thinking as Junior Khanye đđ» KC please take this man
Come to pirates Dan

I hope he gets one of those teams with good resources, not the ones he usually gets
Ingwenya Mr Malesela. I wish angaya kwi Stellenbosch, ngoba isikhulu simnandi ephaketheni then amu allow kuthi enze yonke into. Believe me Stellenbosch singafana ne Man City in three years to come.
This guy is a good guy,but Chippa united situation is messing with his self esteem.hope he recovers mentally...and heal..first before he goes back to coaching
Junior Khanye's favourite coach, together with Pitso, Farouk and Dlangalala
Pirate should give him a chance, they won't regret
all I wish is Dr ivin Khoza to bring our former captain back home he has travelled and we all witnessed his potential as a coach it will worth it for him to be given a chance ,with a team like Pirates with so many quality he will definitely improve the team he has fine it with less quality teams and for me to coach Pirates it will be his passport to coach Bafana Bafana his local and knowledgeable coachđđ
Dan Dan Tiki Takaâœâ€ïžđ„
""Giant that cant trap the Ball", Thats EVA NGA Lol
"You import koie, inkomo" hahaha
Pls come to help swallows 2 much draws our coach is lost
Kaizer chiefs once gave Solinas a chance, why not Dance,? Orlando pirates gave Jonvret a chance, why not Dance? I don't think those coaches are better than Dance in any way.
How can a coach of Bra Dan's calibre be seating without a job at a top club, what is it that he must proveđ€·
Am a pirates fan but if chiefs were to sign him I'd make the switch without thinking twice, by far the best coach I've seen in SA in terms of the type of football he plays . Given what he has achieved with very little resources
Chiefs plic do justice to yourself
We really need this guys on our bench
But Brighton plays passing game ... Even Pep said he could have played for a club like Brighton under this coach/ style ... I dont think many people including Dance watch a lot of Hove games. They were in a relegation battle so the coach went for players with experience of EPL who dont have to adapt like Tau yet. Guys Tau will do well when he gets a pre season with Brighton
But they are too quick. Its too choreographed. Qim, qim, qim instead of pass, pass, pass.
I totally agree with you. Brighton knows how to play bo Bisouma, McCallister, Trossard are top players. Tau is in good company and has a good coach who knows how to use him.
Ikomo komo big guns can't trap đđđđ
i really think thic man can do well at pirates
Under 10 striker?đ
This one cracked me up...and it makes a lot of sense.
Dan Dance just made the most important fact I have heard since Ive known football: That no foreign coach has won the Fifa World cup.
2018 Didier Deschamps - French
2014 Joachim Löw - German
2010 Del Bosque - Spanish
2006 Marcello Lippi - Italian
2002 Scolari - Brazilian
Etc.
google it guys ...it goes to 1930 when this Competition started
Yhaane
But guys that's being selective why not add the Euro's and AFCON in the mix
@@mdukhanyile4160 we should want to win the biggest prize. Which is the world cup obviously. Just like big clubs want to win the Caf CL or Uefa... The domestic league should be expected like the Afcon. Motsepe wanted the Caf CL, so obvious Pitso had to dominate the domestic league in order for Downs to win that Caf in 2016.

The man is noble but his information is not properly structured. 90% of the time he is contradicting himself...
Maybe it's a matter of resources and he doesn't get what he wants he works with what he has so he has no choice to fumble
@@lungxsijaji1058 I understand that part but what does he believe in, proper development or young players not having positions. For one to fully develop a player it has to be developed for a certain position they can master.
Kindly elaborate KG please... I would like to understand what you mean and exactly was 90% contradictory in this interview
