This definitely gives a glimpse into how different these shows are culturally. In the states, it gets ratchet really fast. Has a lot to do with what's accepted socially. I love that in this show, there isn't any physical contact, and the security steps in way before it gets to that point. They also honor their elders, carry a respect for their culture, and highly regard their family values. I do wonder if this was aired in the U.S. how different women that watch these shows would view themselves. Melanated women are the strongest on the planet. It's no wonder why we're heavily broadcasted. They want to see the light beings walk with a lowered vibration. It's so obvious at this point. Housewives of ATL briefly slowed down their violence wagon to have a meeting of the minds, before they kicked it back up again. Black Americans definitely complained about the portrayal of it's people on that show. But checks ain't rolling in if it isn't toxic and controversial so here we are. In this show, even when our African Sistas are mad, it still comes off not as harsh as their counterparts. Puts into perspective how different it is in other parts of the world.

These women sound just a petty, immature and vapid as they are in the same type of shows in the States. Neither of the characteristics shown in these shows is anything women of substance should praise.
America purposely displays Black people in a horrible light. These American shows cherry pick black women and men who are willing to act a fool and lack dignity, all for money.

Sadly, this is what people like to see on reality shows. Hopefully no one takes this as an example for anything, just mediocre acting(sometimes good), and entertainment(sometimes).
Right? That’s why we stay being the most disrespected demographic , coz we don’t learn to respect and build ourselves up as a collective
I was looking for someone that agrees with me on this to converse with! I really hate this for us because it’s the reason why a lot of people in my generation and the generations after have zero communication and/or conflict resolution skills. People can’t even agree to disagree anymore because shows like this have people thinking that you’re supposed to read a person to death, “clap back” until they back down, make personal attacks, etc.
I love that we’re able to have a conversation about this. It’s so many people on this floating rock. So many different beliefs, ideas, cultural backgrounds, the last thing we need as a community is not to be able to have different perspectives. I agree we still need to be able to be civil and communicate with one another without the violence or harmful words. The last thing we want to teach our children and especially our beautiful melanin queens is that this way of communicate is okay.
