- First and foremost, I just have to say I’m the first one to catch one of these 😎 😎 😎
Well, after about a year delay, the electrics are now in service. This was its second day in service, and I’m very impressed. It’s such a different experience since this was my very first electric. All I could hear was the A/C and the loud ass Xcelsior blinker. The new seats are also something that I was not expecting at all. Quite honestly, they are not the greatest quality, they are fully plastic, and if you sit on them long enough, your ass will definitely start to hurt. It was also quite surprising to see the HVAC wedge at the front not there, very weird to see a Xcelsior without it. The exterior was also noticeably different, as per the back destination sign being moved to the center instead of the top right, and the different FFC logo. I do like the modified logo though, very nice subtle touch.

They are getting XE35s as well. #1011 is doing road testing near the Alabama plant. It will be heading north shortly.
Mhm, I wouldn’t be surprised if those are Reston’s units. I don’t see Huntington making use of 35 footers, since most of their routes are busy and require 40’s anyway.
How come you knew this bus was running on route 901? The only way I can think of is using the bus tracker but that would take a long time
It was a blind guess. 901 is one of the 6 routes they are piloting the new XE40’s on, it happened the previous day with 1000, so I figured I’d go and hope for one, and sure enough I lucked out.
@@08_orion thanks for the info, I feel that being posted at Herndon station is a great choice as there are many bus routes out there.
