low ping would not be an issue if you use a VPN to connect to US or Canada, there's a lot of VPN out there that are free and have limit or unlimited but yeah it really depends on your preference.

I love tree of savior and I will always support the devs and respect their hard work on keeping the game running even with a small community, yeah haters all you can do is hate, it's 2023 already and for your information we didn't close, we're still strong, alive and improving! W server is my server of choice, I'm not asian and time zone can be a problem but it's by far the most active server among all the 4 regional servers, besides that, the best community! No drama, no toxic a**holes, but as competitive as NA and SA when it comes to contents and GTW, best decision I've made, asians rock!❤
Recently joined ppTOS coming from IMC EU servers, which feel completely dead by now. Ping is honestly "fine" with about 120-140ms on average across the pond, it does cause some issues at the upper end with AA builds but skill bases builds feel fine so far. One thing to mention would be that world chat seems to mostly be PT/ES, though I understand there are plenty of mainly EN speaking guilds.
Aside from that, so far I'm quite impressed with papayas communication as far as companies running an MMO go. Just a couple days ago they wanted to release a content update, had an issue and instead of bulling through it and extending the maintenance indefinitely, like some other companies like to do, they rolled the patch back, apologized, explained what the issue was and promised to try again next week.

I'm glad papaya embraced Tree of Savior just like Latale, the papaya server here feels much "Alive" compare to steam one.
can't tell how long it will last but I'm would really recommend new or returning player to hop in.

I heard somewhere that AA builds are not really viable anymore ... usually lack on damage or/and rely on ping ... now what i do know is... Chaplain is really fun =P
Very heartwarming game, nice drawing aesthetic, great music, offers amazing character creation and progression depth, many builds possible.. Very underrated even in 2024, go play! (Papaya)

The current leveling path is clearing the episode quest line for those juicy upgrade medals, but i do planned on creating a different style of leveling methods!

shanochiTV hiii I just returned playing TOS and i made a new char in papaya server. Im 490 full equip already etc but I have a question for you maybe you can make a guide for it, I have 0 mercenary coins. and there is a lot of players that dont know how to get them either. Because the World boss is not activated I dont know how else to get them. Some people are struggling getting the goodes coins. Any chance you can help us doing a video where to get all of these? or just maybe answering me here lol thank you!
Oh hey Juan! The Papaya GM is aware of this issue. It's actually pretty hard to field-farm the mercenary badge at the moment.
TOS coin shop, bernice dungeon ranking (50+ floor is fine), and field-farming seen to be the only way to get merc badge now.
If someone were to not use the guardian sets, would the progression feel better (more challenging)? Would it be balanced and is the armor ok to survive?
It would be difficult since guardian set upgrade into all future end-game equipment. Anything else is irrelevant to the game at the moment.

Unfortunately you have to get a party past that point. Used shouts to get some people with me to do 14-2 quests and up. Also had to walk up to some dudes grinding the map to ask for some leeching

I think the papaya servers are in germany, my ping is 7 at any time. Had a lot of fun with game, spend some money - till I noticed the time zone problem. As european you are unable to do PvP because the PvP time is from late night to very early morning...
About gear, should I just throw away gears dropped by mob? Except collection gears
Gears from mobs is not useful☺
I would sell that you get the gears from mobs to the vendor npc! They still worth silvers.
Keep the collection stuffs though!

For those of you wondering where to play this game in September 2023. Go play the Papayaplay version.
Sadly the Steam version is dead. Only high-level players are playing right now, and most of them stay AFK in the bigger cities. At least in the Papaya server, people quest, do dungeons, and explore the world like in any other game.
I'm a returning player playing on both server, last time i played on papaya was like 2 weeks ago and it's like a ghost town compared to Steam W server.

What IMC fails to understand is that we dont want to start the game and go straight to level max with godlike gear, we want to level and enjoy the progression, see an upgrade dropping from a mob and replace that old armor of yours with a better gear, what it gonna happen is the new player gets everything then dont know what he needs to do and stop playing after couple of days.
Obvious papaya have some of those elements but people are learning the game while they level.
Also this game needs to be ported to Nintendo Switch, not mobile, we dont want more cash grab mobile apps
^ This. Not to mention the legend raids between level 360-440. I feels like they should rework those raids and re-introduce into the game somehow in my opinions.

Also ping from Europe on papaya server is lower than the ping i have in steam european server
I don't get it what's your point, level are just toturial now, gear given for free is just starter for you to play, it's not even strong to do solo content
@@teyvatvillager136 because we enjoy leveling? Because we enjoy exploring the maps and do quest, feel our toon getting stronger. Leveling is content, especially for a game that lack of good end game content and have such amazing maps
I played mobile for the past few months and the only thing that considers cash grab is the gacha tickets which you can farm on field events. It's better than other rpg games with a gacha system as the weapons are at least free to earn!
Im from brazil, and still playing in w server... 300ping ok... i know, but still better than a dead SA server where every soul in the game is afk.

@@MidoriOtoko Both steam and papaya play have the same update. Papaya Play focus more on NA players. Their server locate in Canada
really is a waste of time. if they didnt support the steam version with updates, papaya play will deal with the same situation. Give it 2-4 weeks. its like putting a band-aid on a gunshot wound. It's just a fresh start server on a different platform. Everyone should be on papaya server since that has the most population currently.
Now Papaya is dead like the Steam regions other than W. They need to merge all these regions and Papaya in a single one to revive the game.
