  • ARC is a new browser for productivity and multitasking. Both Mac and Windows versios are out now on their website. I don't know if this justifies the hype yet, but it's free to use. So, no harm in checking it out.

    Been using Arc for over a year on Mac. Loving it. The tab management and retrieval of archived tabs/history is super useful. As are the pinned tabs that remain across spaces.

    used it for over a month but eventually decided to let it go since it was too buggy for me to rely on it. One of the bugs i faced was it not opening without internet, and I'm in college where the wifi would only connect me to internet after i've entered the password from site. So basically I cannot open it without using some other browser first

    Resizing instructions are provided by the website and not by arc browser so you can't blame it on arc.
    To hide windows it's windows +D key not ctrl + D

    • @TheHopelessGeek
      @TheHopelessGeek  Před měsícem

      I meant the window was resizing by moving to the left when I was extending the right edge. That seemed strange to me. Not the contents of the website.
      And you're right about the desktop shortcut. Even though I knew it from muscle memory, I confused it with Ctrl.

    I'm gonna be honest, I've been using the mac version of arc for a long time, and I just jumped across onto the windows version- it's not even close to what the mac one is. I'm exited for the windows experience to become a little more refined because there are just minor annoynaces compared to the mac version. Like for example- I found that I couldn't shift select multiple tabs like on mac. There's a bunch of gimicks where arc for windows is great, but it will definitely become a LOT better (assuming it gets as refined as the mac experience)

      Couldn't agree more. One thing stands out for me when trying it is the separate workspace. Like you can set each workspace completely unique, from extension to accounts. Apart from that, Arc windows is still in development. There's quite a few bugs and there's not even a dedicated settings pages like the mac os version or like any other browser.
