I can add to tbe Bee fact; I spent nearly 2 years outside on the front porch, working and just being there, here in South-West Virginia. We had wasps start moving in, which was alarming at first, until I realized the wasps I was seeing most of the time are non-agressive and have small hives.
What was even more fascinating was the discovery that the wasps would investigate me, curious about my presence, and did not try to attack me to drive me off. I mean I was there first! Then the best part started happening; my friend wasps began to defend me from yellow jackets and larger hornets that were quite aggressive toward me. I had maybe 4 nests close to me and another 6 along the porch on the other side of the door. The queens would come over and greet me every day when I came out and got settled for the day, and their daughters would greet me now and then as they went about their day. When yellow jackets appeared, the queen would come out and signal the other wasps to come and drive the invader out! If an invading wasp or hornet refused to leave, well, I'd find them later, cut in half, often with their wings ripped out too.
I knew wasps could recognize faces, so I am not surprised that Bees can as well.
Sounds like bee shit to me.
Dying here at attempted Scottish pronunciation. Mike is so adorable though, we totally forgive him, he's welcome here any day!!!!! 😊😊
This was fun! Thanks 🙂
Greatings from Upper Michigan! There is also a Hell, Michigan!
I agree! Ive said it before that im still waiting for the "25 reasons to love Mike!"
Mike is so modest someone else would have to do the show. And I'm pretty sure there'd need to be more than one
Thanks Mike! This is the amazing content I need in my life. I do miss Tristan...
Love the content.
Love the channel.
Love Mike.
Hey Mike!
There is also a Hell, Michigan. I have been there and back MANY times 😂❤
there is also a hell germany
Thanks! It's always fun watching you and learning something new :-)
I went to school with twins born 6 weeks apart - and we were born in the mid-sixties! Not quite the same gap but given the date, very impressive that they survived.
The Scots have that many words for snow, of which about a dozen are broadcastable! 😂
(Just teasing my Celtic cousins 🏴🏴)
You did again Mike, I just started singing the Monty Python Spam song. 🎶😆
The comedian Bill Engvall said it stood for Stuff Posing As Meat 🤣
I believe Mike cold reads all these amazing lists.. wow!!! ❤
I do lol
Great job being on all those teams. I bet you Dad was proud.
Well....I hope he would have been but he passed when I was 7.
@@list25sorry to hear that 💜 I lost mine 2 yrs ago
Thanx Mike, you always entertain!Only in Scotland can you have a word like 'Dreich' which means; "cold, wet & windy" !! One word for so much!😆😆😆
I think the closest relative to T Rex is a chicken for the folks that want to know.
Imagine what Colonel Sanders could do with a T-Rex!!!
LOL, no wonder I don't play chess!
There is a beefalo farm in my area. They look like miniature buffalo. Too cute!
You're so funny Mike!!
you're the main reason I watch List25 😊

Merry Christmas, Mike! I grew up having largely diced and browned spam in mac and cheese as a thrifty dinner entree. We always 'knew' it was spiced ham and the whole family loved it. I'm in my 60's and still make it. Kudos on your pronunciations. They sounded legit to me so I say that's a win! 😂
Somebody's gotta say it. Mike, you're adorable! ❤
Agreed. If I ever had the privilege of meeting him, I would fan girl like crazy!😊
Just stop it
I must agree 😊
Right! He is like a cuddly Teddy Bear 🥰
Agreed!
You are 3,000% better at pronunciation than all of CZcams . I give obvious foreign based channels a pass on some pronunciations but there are so many bad channels out there. I run CZcams in the background often and some i have to run with captions to figure out some common words, numbers and celebrity names. There’s one channel out there that reads out abbreviations by S T instead of street and years by each individual number like 2 0 2 3 instead of 2023. Something i have to rewind to figure out what they just said. And of course, they’re the ones that ask for likes , comments and support for their channel. Sometimes their photos don’t match either. I saw one today where there were photos of Jerry Lewis and Jerry Lee Lewis in the video as if they were talking about the same person.😊

One of my professors was involved with debunking the myth about Inuit having so many words for snow.
The elders in the village were asked very plainly how many words they had for snow. The answer was that they had as many words for it as there were in English, as in one or two.
The myth was perpetuated mostly because, as in many languages, they have a lot of adjectives...but none exclusive to snow.
The longest word in the world is smiles because there is a mile between each S lol
Wisconsin here. Can confirm the cow thing. Cows are adorable and can be as stubborn as a mule but mostly just as cute as they seem. Go hug a cow. I think there's a Hell, Minnesota or Michigan? I should remember which one? Anyway MI or MN out there?
Hell, Michigan lol been thru there when its frozen over
So happy to have these. I love random facts and so far each one of these I’ve watched in the past few weeks has has at least a few new ones. And I’ve collected facts most of my 43 years. Thank you Mike. Sincerely
Glad you enjoy it!
I grew up camping in the High Sierras. Traveled with family through the south. Mosquitos were always an issue. Moved to Portland (OR) 5 years ago and camped many times and nary a sight of a mosquito. I assume they must be here, but haven't seen a bug or a Sasquatch yet.
Also if what I've heard and read is correct Beefalo were used to work on bringing back the population of buffalo from the brink of extinction. Creating the beefalo then working on breeding the cow out of it until it was back to just buffalo.
There is also a Hell, MI. and in 2003 there was 86 days that were below freezing.
I'm hooked on your videos, as I'm known in my family for knowing rare facts. I'm known as the BOUI....the Bureau of useless information! By the way.... you're gorgeous 😊 God save the King 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
There are dry valleys in Antarctica that have little snow, just winds so strong they sculpt rock and iced up rocky terrain, so you see ice, but no deep snow. Because the winds are so violent, no penguins go there.
One thing I can say about this channel is I learn something new everytime I watch thanks Mike and list 25 and yes Mike is a total cutie🌹
I appreciate that!
Mike, I trust you more than anyone on the internet. Sometimes I will say to others, "According to Mike Estrin on his show list 25 blah, blah, blah." Isn't that something? I love facts the way some love collecting. I have since I was a little tiny kid. I was a whizz at trivial pursuit. Cheers from Ocala, FLA
I'm shook! Mike, Monopoly was invented by a woman.
"Who was the real inventor of Monopoly?
In fact, the rules to the game had been invented in Washington DC in 1903 by a bold, progressive woman named Elizabeth Magie. But her place in the game's folk history was lost for decades and ceded to the man who had picked it up at his friend's house: Charles Darrow."
Idk what to think...
Star Trek's Scotty might say of your pronunciations, "Mike cunnah make the words work, Captain!"
Earliest known version, known as The Landlord's Game, was designed by Elizabeth Magie and first patented in 1904.
18: "TEN!" 🤣
Cool backdrop today 🔥
Beefalo is DELICIOUS! After the USDA decided to quit giving Natives (at least in the Cherokee Nation) Bison meat back in the early-mid 2000's they switched us to Beefalo. It's lean, tasty, healthy...but last I knew they quit including Beefalo too.
Hell doesn't have a church in it that's just priceless
Not sure what conversion you're using but 25°C is nowhere near 13°F (ref. 10:08 timestamp). 25°C is 77°F and 13°C is about 55°F.
I do notice that -25°C is -13°F so perhaps that is the temperature point you were trying to communicate but that's not what the video shows nor what Mike narrated.
"Have you ever wondered if you can find mosquitos in Iceland?"
.......No.
My uncle had a cow that he kept as a pet... that damn thing was basically a 6 foot tall 2000 pound dog. got excited to see him and other dog like mannerisms
In northern Michigan, we have a few extra words for snow, too. However, I’m sure you aren’t supposed to pronounce some of them on CZcams. 😂
The southern hemisphere is summer December to February
Monopoly derived from "The landlords game". Created in 1903 by Lizzie Magie. Darrow played the game and just changed a couple things and called it Monopoly.
To be fair Mexico City's "water table" is actually the water of an old lake. The Aztecs built their capital Tenochtitlan (which is now the center of Mexico City) in the center of the lake. They later built the surrounding city on the lake bed after the lake was drained by the Spanish.
Can a "Bee"falo recognize you ???
Yo man Scotland here, you pretty much nailed it
Thank you so much. That means a lot. Seriously. I like to make sure I pronounce things as correctly (or close to it) as I can.
I can't believe my hometown was mentioned!! Wooo Waterford!!! Les gooooo!!
25° C is not cold how the hell can Hell freeze over at 25° C ?
25° Celsius is 77° Fahrenheit
I've heard of twins being born when the clocks changed so the one that came out first had a recorded time that was earlier than when the second one popped out.
Oh gods, I love your jokes!! So glad I found this channel 😁
Welcome!!!
Truly fun facts!!
We have been to Hell in Grand Caymen.
There is a post office there for mail. 😮
when i was in elementary school the vowels were: “a e i o u and sometimes y !!” this was in the ‘50’s. i doubt things have changed since then. so rhythm does have a vowel!!!!!!
now, is there a word with no consonants? LOL🤣🌷🌱
13:30 Nice plot for a horror movie (yah, there have been some bug themed horror flicks... but never a worldwide scale one involving those numbers)
There’s also underground caves in Mexico City which could be a culprit in sinking issues ( some caves even were found to contain Incan artifacts and most have been unexplored
I find it ironic the mother of the twins is Irish..literal and figurative Irish twins
I loved this video!
great video as always ... perhaps try the Dutch words for rain ;-)
13F?! That's pretty warm for a low winter temp...
There’s a Hell, Michigan that freezes over annually too.
Excuse me! Mike. My name is Kym, spelt with a Y, & that comment on Y wishy washiness is completely true😂
Michigan has a town named HELL as well. Didn’t know that Norway had a town named that also. 🤗
4:43 Go stand in the corner! Go on!
10:07 - Don't you mean minus 25 °C or minus 13 °F?
was doing a word search puzzle, found an extra word. to date, is the LONGEST extra word, I've ever found!
the word was " RESTLESSLY"😲
Hell, Michigan freezes over, too.
Spam is wonderful if fried but horrible straight out of the can.
Oh. I live in Rochester and didnt know that.
Some cows are dairy cows, so it was probably those cows that were studied, to prove cows have friendships.
There were Camels in British Columbia (Canada) in a desert area in the south central part of the province. They were brought here by prosecutors! They became wild and eventually died off.
Not a Fan of the Green screen, BUT, Love the videos!
The sand which is here ........ really !!!!!!!!!!!! 🤔🤔🤔 ....... 🤣
There is a Hell, Michigan also
this guys and his jokes cracks me up lol
Me too lol
At 4:53, I've always wondered how putting the best A.I.'s against each other in a game of chess would turn out. Would the game be brief? Or would it go on and on and on. I'd like to see Google's Gemini A.I. go against Chat GPT 5's A.I..
Closest ancestor to the T-Rex is the chicken I think
" CWM" is the shortest English word with no vowels and I didn't know the number 18 is sounded out as ten lol
Is that a jackalope hanging out on the wall behind you ? 😅
Hawaii has a beach made frome the sand from 1 of my local beaches (Port Kembla beach)
Happy New Year
There’s also a Hell, MI!
I have a lot of facts most people don’t know. Everyone has. I’m a neurosurgeon and medical researcher . I have recorded and examined a lot of micro biology and learn about very infectious illnesses. And how neurology systems. I also am military, for 30 years old counting. I’m in the guard now. I’m not Rambo, 😆. But I know a lot about different parts. I’m sure most people know facts most people don’t know.
There’s also a Hell, MI.
We have a town called Hell in Michigan that freezes over too
8:29 In fact ALL mamals have seven neck vertebrae giraffes to shrews. 🤓😎✌🏼
I live in Texas and we have three towns called hell , heven , and earth
Hell is also in Michigan. But then so is Paradise.
Hell, Michigan, got its name from the German word hell, which translates to orange from the city having a German population, and this city also turns orange in the fall from all the maple trees.
Hell Michigan freezes too
Vancouverits have about a dozen words for rain 😂😂
Another time fact: a moment is a medieval form of time that was 1.5 minutes.
Your awesome
I am Scottish and have only ever heard snow being referred to as snow or usually f#%*ing snow
