I used to have one, it was bought brand new by my grandfather who handed it down to me, after moving to Alaska I was forced to sell it but I've always regretted it. I'd give anything to run one again.
@@AgWildNebraska those tractors run forever, I used to move snow with mine and on ice those independent brakes helped wonders. PS: you can put steel railroad ties on the front to weigh it down, it's a cheap alternative to standard weights.
thanks you just explained and showed me the outside handle is hydraulic and inside is rockshaft handle. I purchased a 1957 j.d. 620 no fenders, no 3 point, no draw bar no battery,no seat cushion. I grew up on a dairy farm but we had all red tractor's. Looking at this j.d.620 it's different than a farmall m, I really didn't know a lot of things . I yet to hear it run as I purchased it as a( $1,100) (& $360 towing), parts tractor, but I want to get it running. It's been sitting for 35 years inside a machine shed. It's locked up tight . the left hand side in 2 weeks the wd40 all got past the piston but not on the rhs. today I put steady pressure on it with a bar on the flywheel and a come -a-long tied to the front frame rail today. still tight/ yet to drive a 2 cyl j.d. The reason the guy left it sit I found out as I was going to soak the crank area with diesel. He left it sit because he stripped the oil filter ( the stud) just spins and spins can't seal it up . Need's new thing called the 2 piece head inside oil area And the auctioneer guy said he parked it just because he didn't like it. At least the tires that were low stayed aired up now 3 weeks.
Gotta love em she sounds nice i got a 57 520 that im 3rd gen on but gramps didnt buy her new where did you get those parking brake levers they look a bit clumsy but very functional
thanks for giving me a look at something from my childhood. I enjoyed seeing this tractor.
