- This Mass Air Flow cleaning procedure is to be performed during air cleaner element inspection at each 10,000km (normal maintenance) and 5000km (additional maintenance) schedule. Vehicles operating in dusty conditions will benefit most from this additional maintenance item and potential for the MAF DTC's being logged.

Well, Ill be buggered, Ive been using MAF sensor cleaner all this time!
We have used MAF sensor cleaner on other engines with no side effects. Please follow the manufacturer cleaning procedure for the GD engine.
You are right It's just toyota being too tight to use maf cleaner because of its "fixed service costs"

Great channel! Can you please cover 1GD Hilux, HiAce, Prado 200k vacuum pump blade service.
Actually we have never done one. This is due to customers not willing to proceed with the inspection at the 200k service due to the additional labour cost. It will make a good video though so I will make sure we do one when we get the opportunity to inspect.

Depending on what vehicle we're talking about. Critically, vehicles with a conventional brake booster may experience reduced braking power due to reduced vacuum produced by the pump. Vacuum produced by the pump is used to also run some of the Vacuum Switching Valves for emission control such as EGR Cooler bypass control so you may experience engine malfunction light illuminating due to incorrect control. Engine mounts are vacuum controlled so perhaps harshness during engine operation. Noise due to excessive wear.
In every what km. Reading do we clean our MAF sensor of gd engines?
Did you not watch the beginning of the video??? 1min 07sec into the video, it showed you the service bulletin!? Recommend cleaning MAF sensor at 10,000km regular service intervals, and 5,000km inspections.
No "o"ring serviced wtf . light rubber grease smear . The mention of the stripped out self tapper threads is a concern . BUT WHY IS THIS BEING DONE =answer ,,, the air filter has very small capacity for dirt . When partially full the housing distorts and dirty air bypasses any seal . Heavy industry threw these away many many years ago . The answer /solution is simple get a large radial seal filter/housing = no more dusted engines . All commercial filtration calculations state the Toyota Hilux GD filter could be double the size .

Must be too hard to have an o ring kit handy hey guys?
I think they are referring to DIY cleaning. People may not have o-rings at home. If you damage/break it, you could be in a bit of a bind. I'm sure the service dept would have plenty of them.
