Late reply but there is a 0.5 guard and a 1.5 guard u need to buy

ideally your clipper open is an automatic .5 so lets say you had any guard to it with the lever open always add .5 to it so lets say you put a 1 guard with the lever fully open it will be a 1.5, now if you close it half way it will be a 1.25, now if you close it all the way it would then be a true 1

adding onto my comment now if you have a .5 and want to get to a 1 you can simply go from the lever being fully open with no guard on to adding on a 1 guard fully closed and that will give you your 1 guard length. As somebody else mentioned they actually sale .5 guards and 1.5 guards which you have to buy separate and that alone will help out a lot more

Is that same for a wahl magic clip ? I thought my clipper with no guard level fully open would be a 0.5 than if i put a (1) guard fully open would be a 1.5
