I wonder what they could do with the engine that's in my Nissan Laure c32 :P 2.8L diesel straight six. Originally about 90 HP and 170 Nm/125 foot pound of torque.
so how much power would you be able to shove into an engine where it still averages out at less than 20litres per 100km urban & ctiy combined? and how much would it cost? sorry, im aussie use the metric system. Cheers mate.
When you say "on race gas" or "on street gas" does that mean you can just use whatever you want anytime? Are there any adjustments to the motor or need to fiddle around? or it knows by itself what to do when you filler up with the gasoline changes, lower or higher octanes? Do I need a mechanic following me around? Or its automatic response and I can expect higher horsies? I mean, at Gulf or Shell I think they sell 94 octane as "race gas". But I think 100LL for airplanes is really better.
During WWII the fighter planes used 130 octane gas in Corsairs and P51 mustangs. No luck finding that today. And, I heard rumor that the 100LL is being phased and and airplanes will all need to run on diesel in the future. This will really screw up racing automobiles too.

I have a better question. Can you guys build crate motors for old SOHC fords? Like clean 250hp 1.9l HO crates? That'd be sick. Know a few people who'd want them too :D
The torque is low on your engines compaired to the Ajax DP 165 it has 3400 foot lbs of torque at 360 rpm with no turbo and will last 50 years before rebuild . it has one disavantaage over your engine it weighs 14,500 lbs

they are simply intakes. they don't compress the air but they are less restrictive than the typical air filter intake manifold.
