Every bounce of baby Ganyu step, every hesitant glance at Cloud Retainer, hinted at a playful curiosity bubbling beneath the surface. It was the charm of a young Ganyu we see in this teaser, and it was impossible not to be utterly smitten by her cuteness overload. OMG! 😍🥰

There's still that one time we learned she had a pot for cooking but didn't tell Mountain Shaper so Shenhe had to feed on herbs while at his place. Implying that BOTH birds took care of Shenhe.
I mean when we see the animation that tells Shenhe’s story during Yunjin’s concert, we do see Mountain Shaper with Cloud Retainer. As well as with the lyrics saying,
“Mortal ties broken, with the adepti she went
Their abiding place filling paternal bonds rent
To her red strings of binding they sent
And they dwelt long together, content”
So yeah, it’s more than confirmed that it was not only Cloud Retainer who took care of young Shenhe.

This is a nice observation. Most people believe the headcanon that being half adepti makes the likes of Ganyu and Yanfei unable to transform into a beast form, but this might imply that they actually just have a harder time maintaining a human form.

Nah, I knew from the start that she just shows this side of her, but hiding her self.
Yeah, I remember her being that way at the start, but as she got more involved with the story, and started making appearances in more quest, her character really evolved. I can't wait to see what sort of interactions she'll have with the rest of the cast, now that she's using a human form. I would love to see her visit Monstadt.

Genshin moms are just being awesome and hot, Arlecchino and Xianyun top tier mommy’s. They need to keep the trend going.
Well Xianyun aka Cloud Retainer, did not only more or less adopt then raise both Ganyu, and Shenhe when no one else would go near these poor unfortunate little girls, she more or less proved she's probably the most down to earth and caring of the adeptus aside from Xiao and Madam Ping. She's more "human" than most give her credit for. I mean I can't even blame Ganyu if she called her "mom/mother" every so often Shenhe's case was more strict due to her homicidal tendencies so it makes more sense to call her "Master" over her "Guardian" or "step mother" which is more or less the role she took with Ganyu while with Shenhe it's more of a guidance role. Even little Yaoyao calls her "Auntie" which she wholeheartedly enjoys and accepts with the SMUGNESS of a thousand miles
