My husband of 50 years old overdosed on prescription pain pills he had an anoxic brain injury was on a ventalator for 9 days . I was also told he was brain dead no quality of life. They said when taken off ventalator he would pass away. We took him off ventalator I Sat with him 27 hours waiting on him to take his last breath but I was talking to him saying please fight and come back at that point he squeezed my hand. I had to fight to get him back on feeding tube and water. Than he went in a coma for days after moving him to palative care. They again urged me to let him go I refused. He woke up one week later and said my name. Theybrwmoved feeding tube wanted to peg feed him I ask for him to be checked first to see if he could swallow guess what he swallows. We are now in a skilled nursing home. He is improving slowly. He knows me. He walks slowly. With support. My question is how fast do you think he will recover. This is the love of my Life and I want him back. His memory is bad. He seems lost .

I also advocated for Mom to receive Physical Therapy. I was told only one session of PT for Mom. They trained me how to do range & motion exercises that did help Mom to get weaned T-piece 1% room-air. But WSAMCS Pulmonary Team REFUSED TO Decanulate Mom- Iatrogenic Coculled Covered ups to Iatrogenic Malfeasance Manipulated Malpractices Hypoxia Injuries. Therefore I had to get Emergency Transfer to SS LTAC.

Going through this exact situation it's only been a week they're telling me to shut him off and his family wants to shut him off I just feel like I know he is going to come back. I keep telling them I see you always says the same thing because they want to get patients in and out. I am making myself crazy trying to reason with them and they think I am crazy and they say all of my reach search I am doing is anecdotal. I don't know if you respond to your comments but please help me !!!!!!!!
