  • It’s hard to believe that Sam Pittman is entering his fourth season as Arkansas’ head coach. In many ways, what he’s done in such a short amount of time has been remarkable, turning the program around and restoring Razorback pride throughout the state with the program’s first nine-win season in a decade, and back-to-back bowl wins for only the second time in school history. In this episode, we chat with the Head Hog about where the program is, why he’s more excited than ever for this season, and what he’s learned about being a head coach.

    As an avid razorback fan. And I think I can speak for almost all of us. We don't expect to win a national championship, not saying we wouldn't love that. All we ask for is to recruit and display the PLETHERA of talent coming from our great State. Be competitive in all games. (don't care if we win or lose all of them). Display great character and leadership across the team. And last but not least more important than anything. Show great effort and bring pride to the State of Arkansas. We aren't Georgia we won't fire you because 10 wins isn't enough. Personally to me, Coach Pittman has nearly all boxes checked. He's been a home run hire and perfect representation of what it means to be a Razorback, and an Arkansan.

    Coach BossHog is just real. Down to earth. Fits the state. Good fit for the culture. I know there are detractors but look at conference and who we play. Even in the old SWC we were the ONLY non Texas team. It was always US against the rest of the world. Look at the past several coaches we have had. Coach BossHog is just head and shoulders above them. He has good hires. The culture he is building is just awesome. It’s what we need. We need consistency and Coach brings that. If people want your coaches then Coach BossHog is doing things right. Players and recruits sense and know he is a good man.

    You can’t help but love coach Piitman’s sincerity and quiet confidence. He is comfortable in his own skin.
    Bo… are you taking inspiration from Trey Biddy’s look? 😉

    Sam, you made the key comment whether it is football, business, marriage, faith or friendship and that is humility. This is the main thing in being successful in all areas.

    If you don’t have at least some tears of pride or just pure joy watching this get out of our fan base. Pitt has reinstalled the pride of the state that used to be so long ago. And I’ll tell you right now when we beat Texas 2 years ago. I felt pride that night I haven’t felt in so long. Now look at us. Our confidence is thru the roof and WE HOGS BABY😁😝🤫🤫🐗 YYYYYYYEEEEESSSSSIIIIIIRRRRRR

    It's a bit of a contradictory statement for Sam Pittman to say that he does not care about getting fired, what he cares about is not disappointing people, because of he got fired it would mean he disappointed a lot of people. They are one in the same.

      @chopper9170 Před 10 měsíci

      Every HC Arkansas has ever hired, they've fired. With the exception of Broyles, who retired, and Hatfield who was ran out of town after back to back 10-2 cotton bowl seasons. Odds are Pittman will eventually be fired before he gets a chance to retire. It's that way all over college football.

      Lou Holtz ran away to Minnesota Golden Gophers, and Later Notre Dame a National Championship in '88, Jack Crowe, Danny Ford, Petrino, Smith, Bielema, and Chad Morris were fired as of Off the Field results and Houston Hurt left for Ole Miss in Oxford to replaced Ed O as in Ed Orgeron.

      you missed the point there. every coach will be fired, so hes not worried about that. you can disappoint people and not get fired, but you cant get fired and not disappoint people. that's the difference. you are using absolutism
