By the way, Interceptor version of Volga-24 (in KGB slang called "dogonyalka") - hawed 195 hp V8 engine, standard civilian version - 100 hp, and taxi - 85 hp. Not so bad, right?
A bit unfair as far as the portrayal of the cars goes. Typical common cars such as Zhigulis were not that bad. Not fast, minimal accessories, but they were (and still are) reasonably reliable.
