I have exposed aggregate concrete coping on my 50 year old Anthony Sylvan in-ground pool. The exposed aggregate is still in good condition but it isn't going to win any beauty contests. Can my coping stones be painted, epoxy coated, stained, or somehow be given an aesthetic makeover? Thank you for all the valuable information you provide. Sharing knowledge and experience is very commendable.
When should this be done? During the pool installation? And which is best for extremely cold and harsh winter climate?

What coping and liber for a deck around inground pool
Im putting a vinyl liner pool in, fiberglass is beautiful but out of my price range. Does paver coping, just rest on thinset, on top of the steel?
Would it be odd to have cantilevered concrete coping with a paver deck around that? I'm capable of doing pavers myself but I don't want to deal with thinset and installing the coping around the edge of the pool.

I have a 36 yr. old vinyl liner pool 18' round with bullnose coping and was just informed by my contractor that it would be best to fill the pool with dirt and close it out because the coping is shot. He indicated that the cost to repair wouldn't be a good return on investment. Would this be your recommendation?

Bought a house and somehow no one noticed that he cracking falling off stamped concrete coping had wood underneath it. The Pool patio and attached jacuzzi are all fine but the coping is a mess. What are some questions I should have for contractors when I get quotes on replacing it?
