I have problem with my 6 plus: When i put it to sleep and the want to turn it back on it wont show anything on the display! The touch is still working... After i restarted the devices it goes back om

Thomas S. There’s many small businesses in my area that specialize in phone repair. Honestly you should look into doing something like that. You could make over $100 in some hours

I bought an IPhone 7 128GB unlocked for 20£ due to the bad housing and screen.
I then restored it to custom red and gave it a new screen!! Will be doing a vid on it soon.

I’m always in awe of your tenacity, Hugh. I’ve taken a few phone myself and let me tell ya; those flex cables for the volume button & the adhesive for the battery make me wanna rage quit sometimes...
Don't install a bent battery, not even a slightly bent one, throw it away

NiVi OoF the 6s does not bend, that’s the 6, the 6s uses the same metal on the 10s max, it is super strong. Even bending it against a table it slightly bends
disracenboi336 lol my friend was sleeping on his iPhone 6s and it was all bent it’s weak and so is the 6
iPhone 6s is still a beast in 2019. Mine is super fast and fluid. Couldn’t be more happier with it.

@@GgBruh It isn't worth it because updates stopped on it. It won't be getting iOS14, so just either go for the 8 or an XR. They will definitely go on sale soon. The 8 Plus shouldn't really be that expensive if you trade in your 6.

When you are working with an adhesive under the battery, use some alcohol - it's much safer ;)

I think you should have just replaced the battery instead of keeping that bent up battery in it
The battery was replaced, it had a knock off apple battery to begin with. It being bent doesn’t do anything

I replaced heaps of batteries in phones and sometimes they got bent but never exploded
U must be fun at parties
@@mani5446 The Note 7 exploded just because the phone had a small enough room so the battery can get hot. A bent battery might not be dangerous immediately but over time, if you use that phone as a daily driver with all the heat your phone will definitely blow up unless you're really lucky.
@@itsmrdante6274 no, the note 7 exploded because the slot for the battery was to small and batteries where touching layer and flaming up

You either have to know the password or just replace the motherboard so you're kinda in a bad situation.

The other day I bought an iPhone 6s for £45 which had an unresponsive touchscreen. I just opened it up and replugged the screen and it worked and to top it off it was 128gb

Great video as always, i have a question: i was replacing my 6s plus battery and i did forget to remove the battery first and when i was removing the display connector I touched the back camera connector with a metal after that it did shortened on me, after finishing the back camera stopped working should I replace it or the problem is in the logic board? Thanks

I love the finished phone. I have opened up my iPhone 6 a few times to replace the battery and the external speaker, watching your work has convinced to never try this project. Lol. I was considering buying a damaged 6Plus to refurbish for my daughter. I repeat, was! I do see that one can buy a complete chassis, but I'm not so sure that's much easier. Another great VLOG, my friend.
PS: I do have my late 2015 12" MacBook in a drawer in pieces. Since it needs a new CPU and possibly a trackpad, I decided to stop while I was behind. The laptop was just over 2 years old, btw.

Brandon Dev take a look at the original pictures of the recalled note 7 battery. It’s just sligtly bent from one corner. That was enough to cause multiple explosions
@@Piipperi800 the note7 did not explode from that you are drawing false conclusions. The batteries were defective a small bend like his battery had is perfectly fine. I've worked on multiple phones, it's fine
I have an iPhone 6s Plus with a broken screen , I think I will do this to restore it and keep it as a collectible item for the future, I always wanted this combination of red with black screen , it just looks amazing , thanks for the video 😃

I’ve done this with my iPhone 6 exactly the same except I put a 2200 mAh battery and a glow logo and it looks so awesome

I've done a few of these and the replacement backs are usually good quality except the camera glass. They use either normal glass or I've even seen thin plastic that scratches or breaks very quickly. Replace with a proper sapphire one as they are only a couple of pounds.
