I first heard her singing Over the Rainbow in London where she quickly became very popular!!When I tried to find her in the US, I loved every song she ever sang.Then out of nowhere, I heard she had bone cancer in her hip, heartbreaking!! Now I cuddle with my young rescue kitty Mr Boots as we listen to Eva. He loves her music as much as I do!!

And I've listened to her version of this beautiful classic many times and never noticed until today that she does something very poignant and moving with the lyric "someday when we meet up yonder". She sings "someday soon we'll meet up yonder". Considering how we lost her at such a young age, that really struck me. I hope, one day soon, I will meet you in that land that knows no parting, sweet and beautiful soul.

She sounds as authentic as any of the best. Aretha, Whitney, Judy, Barbara, et al wouldn't even CLOSE to this understatement and emotional authenticity. Case closed.
