In the latest episode of Yle's Sports Studio's Graduation Program, Kaisa Mäkäräinen and Petra Olli get to know the secrets of a real extreme sport in Central Finland.
The phrase "fearful place" feels more relevant than ever when the world champions who have finished their careers, biathlete Mäkäräinen and wrestler Olli, get on board the rally driver Kalle Rovanperä.
Mäkäräinen chats happily in the depot when Olli chirps in his nerves. Rovanperä, 21, arrives in a relaxed mood.
- Annoying when that Kalle just laughs and we're serious. I die for excitement, Olli notes with a serious look on his face.
- This is a pretty crazy species. Help, don't! I still have life left, Olli shouts as Rovanperä accelerates to top speed.

Congratulations, may Kalle be world champion Rovanperä! Kalle Rovanperä is the world champion! The 22-year-old Finn is the youngest world champion in rally history!!
Together with his map reader Jonne Halttunen, Rovanperä secured the World Championship title by winning the World Rally Championship in New Zealand.
Championship threat Ott Tänak finished third in the rally. When Rovanperä took first place on the Power Stage that ended the race, the Toyota driver's points lead grew to an unattainably large two races before the end of the season.
After crossing the finish line, Rovanperä and Halttunen celebrated wildly in the cab of the car. At the finish line, Rovanperä was immediately congratulated by his happy father, Harri Rovanperä.
- It took a while to wait for this. Thanks to the team, they have built a great car and supported in difficult times. Thanks to everyone who has supported me. Greetings home to mom! Rovanperä rejoiced at the goal.
Rovanperä, who turned 22 at the weekend, became the youngest world champion in rally history. The victory in New Zealand was the sixth of the season for Rovanpera, who is having a great season.
Rovanperä became the seventh Finnish rally world champion in history. The long dry season ended in style. The last time a Finn celebrated the World Cup title was 20 years ago.
