In my last Beta City 17 video, I accidently left out a few maps that were in the 2001-2002 files. Some are recognizable from the previous video, and some are new. Around 2001-2002, the game was looking a bit like what we have today, even though the design of the City was still the old, "Blade Runner"-ish one.

The c17 road part of the beta is often referred to as "getaway". Therefore one can assume that it was meant to be a car chase section.

chase sequence is depicted in the laidlaw's short story "old friends" iirc, the good news are it's probably going to be included in the next dark interval release as a playable sequence...not too sure though
