Bandhej sarees are a must for Bride's trousseau & for the girl's and boy's lady members ; prices at D.sarees are reasonable.
Pertinent question which my Mumbai Aunt's [ who have several family weddings this year] will ask - what is saree material ? Cotton , georgette or silk - which is the hallmark of Bandhej ; i could hear store-owner say : joya/zoya silk which is synthetic - origin Surat🙁.

Very pertinent question indeed! It's a great suggestion for Alka ji to ask better questions about the product, material, origin, quality and about the artisans making it and so on, rather than always asking whether discount milegi ki nahin.

Thats right...missed out on the material for few sarees though the shop owner has mentioned some specific types and materials for most of them and they are not Zoya silk. Thank you so much for your feedback 🥰❤️ I remember him telling me something about the origin of that blue bandhani saree at 4:48 (which they stretched and opened and is made by special artisans) and those particularly were definitely not Surat but can't remember exactly from where 🫣

My Mother is very fastidious - about saree material - she says the best source for Bandhej sarees is the Gujarat State Government emporia near Connaught place, New Delhi ; likewise Chanderi from the Madhya Pradesh emporium , South silks from Co-optex stores & Karnataka emporium & so on..
