Would be cool if there were game devs who developed games specifically for this thing. But to make the most of the hardware, you'd first need suitable engine
You can check out Pico-8! It's not made specifically for the Miyoo Mini but it's a virtual retro console so it runs pretty well on almost anything.
Also there are some devs that make games for retro consoles like Goodboy Galaxy for the Game Boy Advance. People seem to like that game.
I made a mistake about the clock. I should have noticed by simple observation but I'm blind so I found out coincidentally by digging through the Onion scripts that the default behavior when you turn on the console is to add 4 hours to the previous clock time. This value is stored in a file and you can change it if you want. This means if you don't have WiFi on, every time you turn the device off and then on the time skips 4 hours ahead.
edit: You can also turn off time skip by navigating to Apps -> Tweaks -> System -> Date and time... -> Emulated time skip

Hey I'm back! Another question, if I'm gonna use my computer to read the SD card to overclock DS emulation, do I make sure the computer is completely off before putting the SD card in and turning the computer completely off when I'm done making changes? Or is it way simpler than I'm thinking it is? How will I view the SD card once it's in the computer?

You don't need the computer off ever! Just plug it in while the computer is on. Just make sure to use the "Eject" option to properly remove the SD card when taking it out though.
You can get to the "Eject" option usually through a tiny usb icon on the task bar in the lower right hand corner. It'll usually say something like "Safely Remove Hardware" and you can click on it to get the option to eject the SD card.
The only real worry is removing the SD card while you are writing data to it and that will cause some corruption but it won't ruin the card, you may just have to copy the data again or format it.
Ejecting it properly makes sure this won't happen.
Once you plug in the SD card via the adapter, if you open up My Computer/This PC it will show up under the "Deviecs and drives" section for Windows 10. It'll be something similar on older versions of Windows and Apple devices too.
Just double click on the icon for the SD card and it'll open up like a hard drive.

@@duckyobrien Just curious, but how does Spirit Tracks and Phantom Hourglass work on the Miyoo Mini Plus? Will it be unplayable or will the actions be mapped to the buttons?
@dylanhile358 I haven't check this myself but from what I've read online I think it works OK for the most part. You need to get modified rom files where it maps most of the stylus controls to the D-Pad.
The only problem I heard about was a part where you need to yell into the microphone and I'm not sure if someone has fixed that in the game or not.
edit: it was a part where you blow into the mic to simulate putting wind into the sails. Also if you have an android phone Drastic just went free on the Playstore! Might be worth a try if the Miyoo isn't performing as well as you want it to for DS.

You need to transfer the video files to a folder named "Snaps" in each Rom folder (for example Roms/GBA/Snaps). They need to be .mng files.

I believe the dev Schmurtzm created this. This full video set will take up 12.5 GB of space and google drive downloads are a tad slow.
If you have your own rom set, then you need to use Scraper to download the video files yourself and then convert them into mng files using Schmurtzm's script. This is actually included for you in Onion OS if you go to: App\AdvanceMENU\tools\Roms_and_Medias_Management\mp4_to_mng.
Copy that file over to your PC. You can use it to convert the video files.

The only thing to update is that some game names were changed since the Tiny Best Set Go snap set was created, mostly fan translated games. All you have to do is match the name of the mng and mp3 file to be exactly the same as the game name. I do think a few new games were added so those you have to scrape yourself.
I'll be updating the snap pack myself and uploading that to google drive once I'm done for people who don't want to go through the process themselves but it should take me a few days to finish it.

I'm not able to delete game history. I tried deleting the entire game and copied it back from mac but I still don't understand why it keeps restarting from where i left off.
How can I make it so that I can start over from the beginning?
Deleting the save state should work. You can go to SD/Saves/CurrentProfile/States and then go into the emulator you used delete the auto save state. It'll be named something like the game name. state .auto.
Save files will be located in SD/Saves/CurrentProfile/Saves and then the proper emulator folder.
If you don't want the auto save/loading feature, you can press Menu + Select in game to bring up the RetroArch menu, press B once to back out, go to Settings -> Saving and then disable "Auto Save State" and "Auto Load State".
If you want these changes saved for all emulators, back out to main RetroArch menu and go to Configuration File -> Save Current Configuration.

@@52Tele Did disabling auto save and load and saving the configuration not work for you? When I did it, it will just load the game normally without using a save state. You shouldn't have to delete it.
If not, I don't really know RetroArch that well so I don't know if there is a simple way or not. One way to delete it is to install the File Explorer using Apps -> Package Manager.
Once it's installed, you can find it in the Apps folder. Once you start it, you can navigate to the save state.
The file names are too long but it should be the first save state. To make sure, press X on it to bring up a menu and select "Rename". Scroll all the way to the right to make sure it's the auto save file. If it is press B to exit.
Press X on the file again and select the "Delete" option.
You can exit File Browser by pressing the Menu button and selecting exit.

@@52Tele Here's the link to the official FAQ if you need more help on changing the auto load setting. They do a better job of explaining it and you can just save the changes to the ROM folder so you can still auto load from other emulators if you want to.

I read somewhere that someone got a rpgmaker game to run on the miyoo mini plus. But couldn't find anything else on it. Is it possible?
Onion OS has EasyRPG built in which may allow you to play some RPG Maker games.
You can enable it by going into Apps -> Package Manager -> Expert -> Game engine - EasyRPG (EasyRPG).
It's supposed to be an experimental core and the Miyoo does have limited hardware so it may not run well.
I haven't used it myself so I'll be checking it out later. If you need any more help please feel free to let me know and I'll do my best.

I forgot to mention it but once you install it, it'll show up in the Expert shortcut in the Apps section. I think you also have to install the Expert shortcut through Package Manager.
You can also access EasyRPG from RetroArch by choosing the RPG Maker 2000/2003 (EasyRPG) core.
I haven't used it yet either so I'll have to tinker around with it to figure out how it works.

As a side note, I only tried out 2 games for a short time, Theia Crimson Eclipse and MOTHER: Cognitive Dissonance. Theia slows down massively during fights so not all games will run well. Also zipping the games makes them much more easier to deal with (copying them over to your microSD card and starting them from Onion OS).

If you hold the Menu Button and press Left or Right on the D-pad it will cycle through the different screen layouts.
Let me know if that doesn't work.
Yesssss your are the best but I have 2 questions :
- when I add new roms and insert the card I don't have the folders up to date it always remains on the old folders
-for certain games like GTA it requires you to press the screen otherwise the game does not work, do you have a solution?
@mouradelmehdaoui5833 For the first problem, if you press Select (or Menu) when you are in the Games section on your Miyoo Mini where it shows all the emulators, it should show an option called "Refresh all roms". If you press that it should update the game list.
For the second problem, pressing L2 while in a game will bring up the stylus. You can press A to simulate a stylus press. If you don't see the stylus, you can also press Menu + UP/DOWN to switch which screen the stylus is on.

Why they bother to add a vibration rotor that barelly any emulated games uses but keep away an RTC that would cost literally cents.
I don't know why but one can only hope they add it for the upcoming Miyoo Mini Flip and A30.
