- It's time once again to make history. Follow along as I prepare for the biggest fight of my life when I take on Anthony Joshua Friday, March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Former heavyweight boxing world champion Anthony Joshua is set to go toe- to-toe with lineal MMA heavyweight world champion Francis Ngannou on Friday, March 8 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The long-awaited battle of behemoths closes out Riyadh Season, one of the world’s leading entertainment festivals, which runs throughout the winter months in the Kingdom’s largest city.

38 years old, didnt start training until his 20s...learnt how to fight whilst already in the UFC (he was shown a kimara in the locker before his fight and won with it) learnt english incredibly quickly...i think (physical beast aside) people really underestimate how intelligent ngannou is, imagine he boxed/trained mma like most of the newer crowd as a young teen. And he's a really, really good person, left the biggest payday of his life at the UFC because they wouldnt give fighters health insurance and improve their pay, has a stipulation his opponents get better pay, a solute legend
(he was shown a kimara in the locker before his fight and won with it) : Not true, he said in french interview that he wanted to say "We drilled the kimura in the locker" but at this time his english was not like what it is today, and he said instead "We learned the kimura in the locker". If you search on youtube Sami Dali vs Francis Ngannou , you will see him doing grappling competition in France before his UFC debut ,he trained grappling everyday with his buddy former Bellator LHW MPumbu black belt back in the day. And if you pay attention, in his 1st UFC fight, he defended the takedown and nutralize the grappling of brazilian BJJ guy. In his 2nd fight he stopped the grappling and Takedown of NCAA Curtis Blaydes. Dude is an animal and learn very quick that's for sure.

AJ's traps/setup to land his power early with some Stick and Move will be key vs FN's head/feet movements with good delivery/timing. AJ will surely land some hard shots, FN's buzz control/chin will be tested. If or I'd say when FN lands we know it's over cause he's no 41yo Klitchko or Stay-Puft Marshmallow Ruiz and I doubt the Saudis will allow the bell to ring 5secs short like it did with Usyk 1.

Love this, can't overlook Francis becuase he's the guy who wasn't supppse to be there and he has proven he is the right person to be in that spot.
