This is one of my favorite places to visit. Before we moved my grandmother out to Jersey I'd visit here all the time since it was down the block from her.

While the manuscripts were all lovely I have to say the true beauty for me was the setting. I've now watched it twice and will probably watch it again. Thank you very much 💐

Very well made video! Would love to visit this place! It never stops to amaze me how colourful the medieval period was!

Thank you so much! And yes, I completely agree. We have this skewed perception of Medieval times to be grim and dark that is really hard to shake off, but ultimately, people are still people, and we are attracted to the joy colors bring.

Looks like the rooms containing manuscripts use only indirect sunlight, to avoid the damage that direct lighting would do over time? While that's presumably a functional decision rather than aesthetic, it still makes for a nice atmosphere (and one well captured here).
Was #9 an exception? Seemed like that room might've been internally lit. I wonder if that book's different for some reason (or if I'm just misinterpreting the lighting).
...Mental tangent. Now you've got me curious about whether these sorts of preservation projects use any treatments on the paper to protect them, or if it's not worth the risk of damaging them in the process of attempting that. Research time! (Unless you happen to have a video on this, of course!)

The colors in those books are so bright , they look new , But wouldn't you like to live there , and I could be your champion.
