Thank you for dropping this one boys, been waiting for this !! Downing is an absolute legend and one of the best ambassadors ever for the culture !! 👊🏻👊🏻
Watched a little more now.. I've never heard Chris or E be this silent whenever the guest is talking.. :D I know its about respect and its also about the flow of the show. Dave is a GOAT so he's super comfortable. Younger up 'n comers on the show before, are more prone to be nervous and needs to be asked questions, and follow-ups etc. kinda. No harm in that of course just pointing out how much of a effin' LEGEND Dave is!
Saw Dave working Burton Step-In tent at Snoqualmie Summit East. Had to say hi. So nice to meet him in-person. I was like “You think any of these youngbloods know that a legend is turning a screwdriver on their boards?”. Gave him a good laugh.
One of my favourite vids of Dave is the short film he did with the analog team in Japan. Young Mikkel, Danny, JP riding in Hokkaido. We went the following year and were inspired by the riding and fun times. Came free with a mag and hit repeat plays for a long time.
To think Dave didn't start snowboarding until he was 21 is insane. One of my favourite clips of him was a follow cam in Jackson hole on a bad weather day where he's ripping powder through the trees. Awesome.
*SUPER* vibed that *Brian Thien* was mentioned. One of my fav guys _style_ wise and *personality* too. Wish he got more credit and attention. Dave's ok too, i guess! ♥♥
Can attest to the fact that Dave Downing is a friendly, real, down to earth, approachable and just a generally good human. Met Dave at the On Snow demo at Copper Mtn a few years back, chatted with him a few years in a row, and he was always soo chill! He took a few runs with me and my homie and it was a rad time! A true legend! Much respect Dave and thanks for being so rad! Will echo the Froth Puppy to say you're an inspiration!
worst pro board graphic for a shop to push was Peter's pink rainbow with d-23. we couldn't give them away back in 95. now they sell on Ebay for twice what they costed new.
Nothing I love more than hearing about the glory days aka my glory days and getting to hear what the guys I looked up to are like. Finally putting a personality and a face behind the vids and the pics🤙
Thank you for this, Downing and Dunn were such heroes for us VT Burton boarders. Always loved how he was a sage of the sport from day one. Guys like him, Johann, Guch kept it real and provided so much inspiration for us hometown riders.
Took a trip to Utah last May and got a surprise pow day and ridding the tram at Snowbird heard Dave Downing on the other side of the cabin scoping out lines on the Cirque. Got some of the best lines of my life that day. It was no the deepest day but their was a nice even blanket on everything you could point it through all the steep chutes without fear because all the moguls were smoothed out. Walked past Zeb too that day and saw Danny Davis talking to some dude.. what a trip...had awesome days at Solitude Brighton and Park City too.
I see snowboarding as a life long sport by starting at 45 and now 60. I couldn’t even find outdoor open hockey games to jump into like back in the day. It is slight year to year but progression in all areas except for board grabbing. I won’t be able to live more than 20 minutes from shredding or I would get sick and go insane.
Jared winkler?! No way, we all used to work Tuccis together. I bartended and Jared waited tables. Bobby Meeks worked there for a minute too after Subtle went under. Before he hopped on K2. Yeah Jared!!
How about getting some legend older skiers like a glenn plake or someone that’s seen the resort industry from another angle and time period before snowboarding.
The 90’s in snowboarding were the best of times!
Tru

Seriously one of the most underrated legends out there. Such a buttery smooth style 🤙
❤️❤️agreed
I've only watched 5 minutes of this, and it's insane ! Dave was one of my heroes growing up! Goofy for life !
Watched a little more now..

The part where he rode a surfboard in pow was sick. 😎
I’ve been snowboarding since I was 12. At 45, I also feel like I am the best snowboarder that I’ve been! Love the guests! Keep it up.
Much love thank you!
Dave riding the first year B Custom 55 and 59 in TB3, made me want to snowboard. I still am riding at the age of 66.
that rules
After looking this guy up on CZcams his style is Dope so smooth and doesn't seem to need to just throw a trick all the time in his parts.

wild that he started so late for sure!
Brian Iguchi, Terje, Peter line, Jamie Lynn...get them on too!

He’s a king!

Wasn't that Fugazi song from TB9 in Travis Parker's part (not KJ)?
we may need to double check, unconfirmed...
@@TheBombHole If I'm right, do I get a bombhole cooler filled with merch? JK. Keep up the good work- the pod is crushing
@@chriserickson7860 Travis Parker TB9 is correct
That’s what I said. Used to live with TP for a bit in SLC. I definitely remember his parts.
Dave is a real inspiration. Respect.
big time

That one time I was working at Dave's in KB and Dave Downing walked. My jaw hit the floor.

Legend
Living Legend! Listen up kids.nice bomb hole!!!
Great one dudes.

KJ used Primus though. T Parker had Fugazi.
Mr. Dunn!!!
🏆
I believe it was Travis Parker's section to the Fugazi song and not Kevin Jones.
i think you are right, my bad
that song is travis parkers part
kj part was that primus song
Bring back the T-shirt Do-rag!!!!
1:06:54 ok so what was the name of the song ?
LEGEND!!!
True!
Directional Boards all the way!
get kurt heine on here.
I met K Heine during a contest at Mt. Bachelor. My buddy asked him what kind of tools do you make. His response "butt plugs".
Such a legend pros really shouldn't be looked at by big tricks airs or ect my dream is to just have a part of pow turns carves and side hits 😂🤔🤙🏼
Its Travis Parker. Not KJ. KJ was the second.
..in name that video part.
And one thing lead to another… i watched the whole episode
that rules!
What was the song in name that video part?
Fugazi Waiting room
Ethan?!?! My mind was blown LOL
Hahahha
LETS GO
❤️👊🏻
How about getting some legend older skiers like a glenn plake or someone that’s seen the resort industry from another angle and time period before snowboarding.
