Of course, even the arcade-version still has advantages over the Hi-Spec-Version: Pushing more polygons overall (round corners!), more draw distance/less pop-in, a higher resolution, perspective correct texture mapping, progressive scan, less input-lag, more detailed textures, IMO a better color-scheme and of course, way more CPU-cars for an intense race-feeling. But imagine this would have been released at the PS launch (instead of several years later)... many people's jaws would still be wide open. :)
