Colin Trevor “Cozy” Powell (29 December 1947 - 5 April 1998) was an English rock drummer, who made his name with many major rock bands and artists like The Jeff Beck Group, Rainbow, Robert Plant, Whitesnake and Black Sabbath.
Cozy Powell died on April 5, 1998 following a car crash, driving his Saab 9000 Turbo at 104 mph-167km/h in bad weather on the M4 motorway near Bristol, while talking to his girlfriend on his mobile phone.
The musician was ejected through the windscreen and died at the moment. BBC reported that at the time Powell’s blood-alcohol reading was over the legal limit and he wasn’t wearing a seat belt. Evidencie also showed that his car had a slow puncture in a rear tyre that that could have caused a sudden collapse of the tyre with a consequent loss of control of the car.

true but also at high speed in the rain... even at that im sure he knew how to handle a car pretty well being he use to race in f3. even so experts can also make detrimental mistakes. he was intoxicated too... im sure he knew how to handle his liquor pretty well too...

By what ive heard, Cozy's car flipped 7 times before stopping. Another one was the Saab landed on him. But im not sure which is which.
I often wonder if it was murder? I don;t mind saying or hearing I am wrong, he did have one or two enemies in music but was mostly admired and respected he seems a very nice guy and an excellent drummer/RIP Cozy

What i especially like is the cinematic music and the length above 2 minutes in the last few and earlier videos. The generic voice fits well. And if there are real photos of an accident, put them in the video. But that's just me and only a suggestion. Love the work you put into it!

Watching this makes me very sad, it is SO easy to flip a vehicle! I flipped my in 1988 after a moron pulled off to the shoulder about 4 cars in front of me and then decided to turn left onto the road and I nearly hit him head on and landed in a downhill field! AND I was playing a gig that night drummer here too. RIP Cozy!

everyone knows how to run the car, now when the car pulls away because of the wet track or the speed, nobody can control the car in the whiplash. then it ends up chipping away. it doesn't matter if you're a drummer or an actor.

Yes, he was on his way to see this woman, but the same situation would've arose if she happened to be unmarried. The fact that she was a married woman cheating on her husband was unrelated to the actual crash.

Love your stuff but can you not get better car models for the Euro vehicles? Like you got the 911 model for the 'Porsche Girl' vid. American Sedan tanks don't really cut it when your talking about a Saab 9k Turbo. Also UK motorways have a 'hard shoulder' emergency lane or nowadays 3, 4, 5 or 6 running lanes if the shoulder has been pinched for use as a running lane in the new smart motorway system. it can be difficult too because in beamng sometimes you will come across a really nice looking car model but the damage will be horrible... so it can be difficult to get everything perfect... he still makes some amazing videos with the limited resources.

I would like to know who this woman is. He could have had anyone he wanted without any problems, but he lost his life because of a married woman. She was probably wondering if he was with another woman or if he was available to her whenever she wanted.
