Thank you to SquareSpace for sponsoring this video! What trip to LA would be complete without a trip to the tallest view point in the city. This is at the Intercontinental hotel where Dan, Ivan and I got to enjoy a drink overlooking the city at Spiral 73, the tallest rooftop patio in the Northern Hemisphere... and it gets better too because just a few floors down, they have a buffet!
Actually I've been to this buffet a few years ago called the Dekkadance where they were serving up lobsters, king crab and an assortment of fresh seafood and meats grilled to your liking... my liking? with lots of butter, of course. Currently, they are back and are offering what's called the sparkling brunch. An elegant brunch buffet setting with the high end indulgent spread at a great price at only $50... This includes a glass of sparkling wine, mimosa, or whatever brunch type beverage you desire. What's missing? ...the fancy seafood, at least for now... Hopefully as things pick up, we'll see them return.
But no worries if you're craving seafood because I've to find out about a place that serves all you can eat fresh lobster right near by at Redondo Beach at the Perfect Storm. This is a big thanks to Steve Cha from @Rockstar Eater who introduced this just a short while ago and I gotta give it a try! Was it phenomenal? Yes! Was it expensive...yeah....
At $145, the lobster feast features all you can eat lobster plus delectable appetizers and sides to provide contrast to the dozens and dozens of lobsters! After all, one cannot live on lobster alone. Thank you for joining me on this LA adventure touring this exciting city!

You go to a buffet resto to indulge yourself or mostly to overindulge, not because you want to beat the place on their game. You don't go to these places just to eat the bread, pasta, rice, corn, etc. You go for the main dish right away that make a lot of sense, like the more expensive seafood like lobster, shrimps, crab legs and steak or meat if available and if there is still space in your belly, then some deserts. These restos already got it figured out, there are big eaters and will be offset or balanced out by small eaters. These restos don't just fold because everybody is overeating and they all lose profits. Supply and demand is always the barometer of the price, so stop telling customers not to eat a lot of more expensive stuffs as long as they are not wasting them, they paid the price so let them overindulge themselves.

You are a accountant. My niece has a CPA and a MBA from the Wharton School. However, she is a New York girl so she would never move to California! I moved to LA, and my first job was selling diamonds and Chinese style 999 gold chains, bracelets etc. in a Chinatown jewelry store. I had a ton of sales experiences. However, I’m just a poor person, and know nothing about diamonds or gold. The biggest problem was the boss wasn’t happy with my honesty!! I would tell customers that certain style jewelry didn’t look good on them!!!!! Haha!!!!! I wasn’t being funny then as the reality is there are other jewelry styles that look good on them. Customers often ask sales people for their opinions just like Mr. Tim Lee ask the cooks for recommendations on what to order sometimes.

I notice you love to eat your salmon and tuna, that's wonderful and all, but because of high Mercury and other metal/compound content in fish these days, you should be sure to eat a lower amount of fish overall, or that is to say, not overload or have a lot every day, as it can be toxic. The USDA/FDA recommends about 8 ounces of seafood in general per week to maintain safe levels of metals and other toxins. Just a little helpful note my friend. Glad to see you are prospering! Keep it up!

I have to remember the AYCE lobster, my dad would probably demolish whatever record they have. Growing up we would go down to Baja and enjoy all the lobster we wanted for very cheap. Now because of over fishing I don’t think it would be possible to afford the 5 pound lobsters we used to enjoy. Thank you for making me aware of this restaurant, we live in Los Angeles but I feel like we don’t have enough time to explore it like we should.

Tim, put on a couple pounds Watching the breakfast video. Lobster in salmon dip...what a concept. Never too many lobsters...I think my personal best is 10 whole lobsters maybe 12. Over about 20 hours...Breakfast, lunch, late lunch, early dinner, dinner and midnight mid-rats shipboard. Every Friday. Best

The server Laz was really overdoing it with the lobsters.. Sometimes because of filming, there's a bit of extra attention 😉

You might wana head south county visiting San clemente,Laguna beach,Dana point, and San Diego.I used to surf down South county. Its a nice roadtrip down the Pacific coast highway.Lots of spanish buildings and really cool restaurants down the coast. There is an awesome authentic Japanese Ramen in Mira Mesa San Diego. The Chef is originally from Japan and he makes the best ramen and its loaded with toppings. Its called Menya Ultra. If you like Japanese BBQ try Gyu-Kaku in San Diego.Safe travels and fill up those stomach Brotha 🤙🏽

One of my favorite restaurants is on Topanga. It's a Mexican style restaurant but offers more as well. I think you'd love to visit to Topanga. I lived there and Marina Del Rey and Santa Monica for a little while and so many great places to eat in LA and surrounding areas. I love Redondo Beach and Manhattan Beach. The next time I go home to visit I'll have to try the perfect storm. It looks great. I'm more of a crav legs type of person and don't like but the King crab legs so I'm kinda picky I can eat others I just prefer the taste over Dungeness and blue crab legs. I do like lobsters but mainly in soups or gently added to sides. I rarely see you eating clam chowder but it's also another favorite and steam shrimp. I'm from the south so too much fried seafood and I'm not a fan over stream or grilled. I also enjoy muscles, scallops and abalone but now it's hard to find abalone from over fishing which is unfortunate but glad it's heavily protected in the USA. Fresh abalone is the only way and it's one of my all time favorites from the sea. Love your videos and glad to see you eating dim sum because it's always a great meal with a great environment. Meeting people especially servers while out eating helps unlock great food places you'd never find and that's one thing I totally enjoy about you because you go beyond just learning their names and make bonds through breaking bread and it's lovely to see especially growing up in the food industry. Granted I've not worked in that industry for over 20 years but I made lifetime connections around the world. Love your energy and content. Best wishes!
