- 6 months and 3.5K miles on the clock, the video celebrates my first adventure bike and a brand, Suzuki, that I first made connection with in 1970. The V-Strom has had a 20 year history and 450K units sold, but with the 800DE, the all new machine has caught the eye of many bikers and received great reviews. Briefly, the V-Strom 1050 (with the 2021 engine) is featured as well, not as much in comparison but in praise of how the range has been revamped.

I'm really tempted by the 800de myself as a step into more comfortable riding. Then Suzuki bring out the 1000gx as well... The looks of the 800de I think are spot on .
Yes it was looks that sold me on it, vs the Transalp. Take a test ride?
I really liked this video, tells enough about the bike and the video, sound and editing is super nice. Great job.
Many thanks, look out for the next video which will feature the GSX-S1000 GX as a loan bike.
I have 1050 XT and I use it for long distance trips... dont have any issues and so my friends on 650 do....800 will not be exception...its great machine too!
Maybe V stroms are not so sexi as BMW or Ducati but I dont care...places I have visited or saw are the same as on BMW....
Yep sexy ain't everything and its still an opinion!!
Hi! I'm a 1050 XT owner too. I use my bike everyday in the city and I'm very happy with it. But I I have to admit that the 800 would probably have been a better choice in terms of mixing daily rides on Bucharest's mad traffic and long trips.
Living in Greece I never thought to buy a sport bike or type Harley cause of the roads.
Nice information, I have the 650 vstrom from 2014 - I wonder if the 800 is a significant upgrade! 🙏👍
It is a completely different bike.
The only parallel twin in the line up, the 800 is a very capable and fast machine
Yep, very true, I bought a suzuki vstrom 800de love it
IMO, based on what is out there (including some of the various large adventure bikes) it is plain and simply "a GREAT motorcycle", which happens to be very affordable by today's cost of things (BTW, I LOVE the new BMW R1300GS, but can't justify its price - hey that's just me)
Well said and Suzuki are certainly able to match and beat any of the bigger Japanese brands in this segment.
