My wife purchased this subscription for my 52nd birthday this Wednesday, October 4th, 2023. It’s hard to imagine working on this for the next few years. I’m actually nervous about the prospect of if I’ll actually be alive to see it completed.

Don't worry!! Look, I finished my DeAgostini version some months ago, and now that FanHome has released it, I'm buying another. A few points:
You will get to a point to install the device that pops up the light saber. That assembly has wires at the bottom that can be messed up when the head rotates. Just pay attention. Know, also, that you will need CA (or "super glue") occasionally. The light saber specifically. Don't worry, just take your time. Enjoy!!

Woohoo R2 is done! Well that did take a long time I would say it was worth it I mean it won't take everybody else as long as it's taking you because they're not making a video about it but it's a very cool Droid.
I agree. Although, there was a lot that I fast forwarded through and edited out. The structure in the head is the most difficult part due to so many screws.
I wanted too get that build , buts not available. But I’m doing the etco1 , just started the bat mobile, and I preordered the delorean

I have all 26 boxes completing my build this year. So it doesn’t come with the batteries can you please link the ones you got here and or in the description? I’ll get them too!
They are in one of the videos. I had to buy flashlights that came with them
That last circuit board in the static-proof package? If you live in a dry climate beware of static electricity from your fingers. A little care will go a long way!

Can it recognize all family members? You could use him as a courier. Record a videomessage for someone, have him find the person and play the hologram. The app looks well thought out. He looks amazing. And the size seems to be just right for appartments.
But 2 years.. This is too long for me. Sure, it's a big model and the pieces come monthly. But i have to dedicate a table for it or constantly put everything away and pull it out again. And i would worry if the company lives that long. I would love it as a 3d printable kit and buy the electronics pack. I would worry so much less about getting the parts and if i break something.

This R2 unit is really cool... would love to make it but I think it would come up for too much in Canadian.... if they ship to Canada

I don't know why I can't see my comment from earlier but the comments are only the top ones and the newest ones. I'm wondering how you made the gap in R2’s head and body come together, I watched episode 25 to see if it was in there but it wasn't and I don't see how you finish it in this video either, I know it's going to be a problem and I want to know how to overcome it from someone that has already built him. It seems like there's not a gap anymore in this video so what did you do to fix it?
If you had a link,, or someone comments with language,, yourube holds it for review. The gap between is still there. That's how it turns.
I’m just starting out on building this myself and was wondering, once complete, how long can he go without needing recharged?

Be sure to read a head and get the batteries before hand
where did you get your case to keep the extra screws and parts in?
For r2, they sent me one. But you cab grt a dollar store med pill box.

I'm very skeptical when it comes to these sort of things...but have to admit, the functionality is pretty cool, especially projecting the Leia hologram.
It also plays Luke hologram giving away the droids to Jaba.
The phone App? When my R2 was finished I downloaded the Android version. Worked, difficult to connect. THEN my phone(s) updated to Android 12 or 13, which the App doesn't support. Bought an iPad to see if the Apple ios version works.
I have that version of android, works fine.
How much did each box cost
I didn't pay for it. The cost depends on when you subscribed and the coupon code you use. Also, where you live. Best thing to do is contact them.

Yes! How did you know. Dance is one of his preprogrammed functions. He also sings while he does.
@@YourGeekFix I have the old Hasbro model, circa early 2000's, which looks about the same size as this one but not nearly the same build quality. It could take commands like 'Go On Patrol', 'Do You Remember?' (followed by star wars character name), but the 'Dance Program' was my 3-year-old niece's favorite, so that one's stuck in my head forever. Sadly one of his wheels is broken, so I may have to get this one to relive the magic.
