Is tru
Cities are starting to overflow into the suburbs forming them into an extension of the city itself like a hand or an arm. They call it growth but in honesty they bring the city with them and the crime that comes with it.
My husband and I will bugging in we are 67 and 70 we don’t have much choice can’t start over now. Since the big C we paid off debt and have prepped like crazy. We have the biggest home so my children and grandchildren are coming to me and we will take care of each other
Amen!
we are the same way not able to bug out
Having a plan. You beat most people already.
How did you know we had “the talk” with the grandparents? This helps refresh their memory and fill in the gaps. Grandma doesn’t want to prep or know about this stuff. She just wants to enjoy her retirement. Other grandma doesn’t want to leave her friends. WTH?
Remember, some grandmas are the preppers. And the kids and grandkids think she’s nuts.😉
@@SeerinSpiritthat is clearly not Mommyhill2002’s experience.
You'll find that generation can't get over their biases. Look at covid. They made the worst choices and should have been the ones making a stand. They were incredibly self serving and not willing to sacrifice.
If you’re a Gen x, or baby boomer your grandparents lived through the depression (1930s) dust bowl ( 1930s) and WW2. They learned the hard way, so listen to them if they are still around
@@50streamer46the depression began in 2008. The other one is a hoax.
Great video, DIY Prepper TV! The risks of staying in the city during a disaster are real, and your tips for bugging in are super practical. Thanks for sharing such valuable information!
You’re welcome! Thanks for watching!
Reliable prepper, your content is great too. That’s why I rely on you and DYII to help me shore up my week spots and remind me to practice with my preps
@@coulsonbarfield6606 wow that's awesome. Thank you so much
Keep your eyes open, your mouth shut, your head down. Believe nothing of what you hear and half of what you see.
i recently been going to the grocery story every 2 months this year....i learned not having fruits and running out fresh vegetables was a big whole in my preps....i turned to farmers market in June...finding alternatives other than grocery store for food source is a must.
Thanks for sharing!
Great advice to treat water with more than just a filter.
Chlorine Dioxide is a plus plus ! 4 oz and 8oz bottle with activator.
On Amazon
Thank you!
Afternoon JR. Living part time in the city and out at the farm, have moved almost all I wish out to the farm where an adult grandson and my middle daughter and her family are living now. I can now be on the road and heading to the farm in less than a hour...hour and a half if I'm at work. Just my opinion, but everyone living in cities who plan on leaving, have anything you wish to take with you, have them ready to just throw into the trailer or vehicle at a moments notice. Things look like they are going to get worse. Have alternate routes and plenty of gas to refuel...get out before people know what's going on.
Thanks for sharing Eric!
In 2001, I worked in a major urban city. I noticed how very carefully, and politely, drivers drove home that day. All skyscrapers had to be vacated, all employers let every non-essential employee leave....even our IT staff shut down the systems before leaving themselves. No one wanted to be in an accident that day. No one raced. Sometimes, nothing unites like a common enemy. But, it is true... try to leave!
Unfortunately, we all can't leave the city, so preparing would be to the utmost.
🎶 a country boy can survive🎶
Indeed! Thanks for watching Ronald!
@@diypreppertv Man, I always get useful good information from your videos. MAGA from South Carolina✝️🇺🇸👍🏻
Thank you sir!
I live in central London 🇬🇧 England. Im doomed ❤
Yes we will
Always watching your videos. From East Texas. Thank you
You’re welcome Lana!
i have felt very ill at ease in any city in recent years, it's a shame because we should still be living life and not just waiting for the big one, prudent preparation and awareness to ones surroundings is paramount, i am now in a much smaller town, certainly less stressful.
Thanks for watching Billy!
Thank you for your videos. They are indeed helpful, especially when someone has no clue about how much things can change in such situations. I am so thankful to live rural, surrounded by family and friends who are of like minds, who look out for each other.
You’re welcome Sharmaine! Thanks for watching and commenting!
I WISH. There's NO ONE that I know of who's of like mind.
The biggest thing to remember is not to bring the city to the small town you move to so it doesn’t become what you left.
My small town is slowly becoming like this due to everyone moving here and wanting to bring the “conveniences” of the city with them. It’s no longer a small hub town anymore.
The little podunk that I live in won’t be the place anyone wants to be,it’s got one grocery store that will be empty by the time people from the cities.come thru! Good luck trying to get supplies from the locals it’s a depressed area where most people are on welfare or social security!
I remember Texas Armageddon. 4 days without electricity. 6 days without water. I utilized our camping equipment. Since then I purchased a mr. Buddy heater and my retired husband from navy had a sleeping bag.
Yeah, that one woke me up quite a bit. It showed me I needed to be a lot more well-rounded in my preps. Thanks for watching!
Another great video as always! Thank you🦋 I used to live in what was considered the country up until about four years ago lol. Texas is growing so fast! But I still have over a thousand acres behind me and I guess if need be I could go hide out there somewhere.
Look forward to the next video.
Thanks for watching!
As always, jr, great info. Thank you.
You're welcome Suzanne! Thanks for watching!
I live in a city - not by choice. If I could afford to live even at least in the suburbs, I would.
And this might make no sense to someone in North America. In Europe, living outside of urban centres (unless you work where you live) can be cost-prohibitive.
I understand.i live in a smaller town.i can't afford to buy land.even a 1/4 acre I would be happy.i grow veggies in buckets around my apt house.i have a steel ballbat and 2 dogs for protection.if you get sick and need meds..Onions cure Respiratory and UTI infections.
@@user-qm3jo9os7s I so hear you. Exactly (without the dog, which are not allowed) what I do.
Hi, JR. Being somewhat rural, on a small piece of land, my wife and I intend to honker down. With folks like yourself and a few others educating me/us, I figure to do fairly well.
Thank you, JR
You're welcome Robert! Thanks for watching!
Hey JR! Day off for me and I’m just about motivated enough to watch the EweTube…thanks for the vid, brother.
You’re welcome Robert!
Yay! 😂 another appearance of the amazing “idiot driver” clip. Don’t think we’ll ever stop enjoying that!
Bit trickier in the UK to “move out”. It’s way more expensive to live in the countryside.
Even the countryside isn’t that remote compared to places in the USA. Realistically, we’re a small, densely populated country.
The flip side is our cities (except London and a few others) are nowhere near as populated as major cities there.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! Yeah, I can imagine how it would be much different over there. Texas has less than half the population of the UK and is 2.8 times bigger geographically. To be fair, a lot of the land out west isn't really hospitable, but the US has a lot more room to spread out. Thanks for watching!
Very very good advice jr thank you
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
Even if you live in a small town or a rural setting, you may not be much safer from crime during SHTF. Sure there will not be mobs of looters. But there is plenty of drug addiction in small towns and the rural countryside. And drug addicts anywhere will steal to fund their addiction. And there are ex-cons living in these locations too. In a thinly populated setting , there will be fewer witnesses and less chance anyone will hear your cries for help. If you call 911, it may take deputies a long time to arrive because they may be patrolling a large area and there may not be many of them. Make sure you have the ability to protect yourself if you relocate to a thinly populated area because a lot of the men - including the criminals - will know how to hunt deer and will have a deer rifle. Someone motivated to steal your food during hard times does not have to get close to take you out with a deer rifle.
I love your videos
I agree. He has now become my go to prepper channel!
Thank y'all!
I've enjoyed your videos for quite a while now and I think you're Reloaded channel is an excellent idea as well. Watch out for those 'actual idiots driving like idiots!' LOL
Right! lol Thanks for watching!
Enjoy your channel so much! Moved from the city up by Chicago before the Pandemic!!! Couldn't be happier in Missouri!! Don't drive and a real Lone Wolf but thats OK!! I have 8 dogs and I came here with one cat from my apartment!!! So you know what, I'm gonna be just fine!!!! Got my preps and went to school for Nurseing so I will try to be of help to others if there is any disaster that comes down!!
Thanks for commenting!
Thanks kind sir. This is a v possible future reality. Appreciate you.

Thanks for watching Jimmy!
Best if you have a bug out place dig a root or storm celler a way from house do your best to hide the door way from others stock it with your food and other things you may need that way when sthtf happens you are ready and can move easy and faster to the hide out
Exactly. This was a very good one! Half of what was said is happening now...
I love your videos! So informative and having visuals keep watching til the end.
Thank you!
Live in the outskirts of a city of 35k people; would move even further out of town and into the country if the housing market would turn a bit and get some houses for sale in the area. First rule: don't talk about prepping with ANYONE around you and fade into the background
The city folk will flock to the country in droves during a collapse thinking they will survive in the woods. All those in the country need to prepare for the inevitable marauders!
Thank you,
Thanks!
Number one practical and useful video this month. Without a doubt ! Thank you.
Great job once again JR, thank you 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Thank you!
Hi JR
Hi Susan!
Great info!
Thank you!
1:13 perfect illustration
I live in a small mid-western town. A plain fell out of the air into a refrigerated ware house releasing ammonia gas. Stuff does happen even in normal times
Great video!
Thank you!
City’s are just glorified prisons that the inmates pay for themselves….this country boy and my fam will stay in the mountains ✌️ thanks for vid JR 👍🏼
You're welcome! Thanks for watching!
I live in a weird area coastal town. We are across the harbor from a dense democratic city population. During B el em protests, our small police force blockaded with cruisers and long guns at our bridge that connected our two cities. The protesters marching over that bridge stopped, voiced their opinions thru a megaphone and then about faced and went back over the bridge. The guy leading that protest was later arrested for attempted murder at a completely unrelated incident.
Before hurricane Gustav, family was evacuating to my inland town. A normally 2 hour drive took 18 hours. Many ran out fuel along the roadside. When they finally arrived, they had to park in a chaotic, overflowing walmart parking lot. Be prepared to run out of fuel and be among thousands of other desperate people. And the geocery stores were picked clean.
💯% on the aspect of
cities being consumers vs being food producers.
Greetings from Connecticut. State government is building Section 8 welfare towers in our small towns and rural areas. We are in trouble.
I live in an outer suburb. We're not posh. No one will think we have anything much
Hi. I am 73 and decided when I was 60 that I did not want to be a poor pensioner in the UK, So I purchased an empty village house in Bulgaria which had a plot of land. I have never looked back. @ PENSIONER PREPPER
Great video
Thank you Sophia!

Just replaced the water barrels on the old wooden family shrimp boat. Me and my brother took off the rigging added a canvas roof roof to the back. Have a dehumidifier rigged up solar all the things in case we have to leave the family compound on the property wrong only three daysfrom the bay of Campeche just keep an all the options open. God bless you appreciate you keep putting it out every bit helps.
Thank you!
I was here in new Orleans during Katrina, it’s no joke, and with no warning they enacted martial law plowed into peoples houses sometimes at gunpoint to confiscate their weapons and never got them back for the exception of a few who fought in court. Slidell on the north shore did the same so proximity to the city is just as bad as being in the city fyi.
can't afford to leave. Got no where to go.
Man I hope SHTF never happens 😢.
Es cierto is tru
I recognize the area shown at 1:28. That can't be good.
😊😊😊 love the actual video of an actual idiot driver. Kudos to the actor in that vid!!!!
Thank you Heidi! It was his breakout role!

Can you tell me why you chose this camp stove? Is it because it burns butane and propane?
If you're referring to the one that I linked to, then yes.
Doodle, meet poodle 😂
If you know someone in a city, help them leave. Spend your money while it is still worth something.
Any great vid JR ! As I enter “retirement age” I have much more to consider. Keep up the good work !
Thank you William!
hello gtsy
Few years in and you will have cows in suburbs
You need money to relocate. :(
Daring a disaster or during a disaster? I would say that staying in a city is daring a disaster during a disaster.
love how all the video of tragedy show the same kind of clips - black and white working together, old and young, everyone smiling, sharing ...
I guess I'm starting to lose my optimism that this is how it will play out - considering what is going on in the 'best' of times, I am loathe to guess at what it will look like after a few days of lights out chaos. Most people have about a week or less of food and supplies on hand. Even people with a pantry still probably have less than a month's worth, and that's if it's just them. That month goes to a week if some 'family and friends' show up hungry.
WTSHTF you will realize just how good we have it right now, today, July 5 2024, when we can literally walk into a supermarket and get anything we desire in any quantity we want and pay for it with green paper or a little plastic card. Incredible.
People also believe that their herd mentality will protect them from prosecution because it's not their fault they're just going along with the flow
Yeah, that movie definitely had some big face palming and "yyyy" moments 🤦♀️
They all do. lol
We are in the biblical end times. Get saved and rapture ready now!
