  • In this fourth video in the series of dealing with gold ore I got from Jason at MBMM, I determine once and for all the composition of the nuggets I found in the ore. Then I pan out the sluice concentrates and finally get a look at the total amount of gold we got from the ore Watch and see... Please visit mdpub.com/Urban... for more information.

The morning Jason dropped the video saying he was putting ore bags on the bay I sat there looking at the ad forever debating over purchasing it, but decided i need another project like i need another... well you know the rest. So, Thank You for making such a great video series, it really scratched that gold fever itch without further adding to my clutter.

I have been using a gold pan for a few decades. Your technique is slightly different than mine, but I see no problem with it. The most important thing when panning cons is the catch tub. With the tub, you can pan any way you like.
Keep up the good work and the great videos!

27:08 sad that people don’t understand that. They are pissed because they couldn’t afford it or it was gone by time they tried. I think he is upfront and a stand up guy.

When Pyrite, pyrrhotite and marcasite (all iron sulfides) oxidize some of what they form is magnetite and is magnetic. So likely not all of the stuff you took out with the magnet is just iron from your crusher.

Not all, I'm sure. But I know from experience my Smash-O-Matic does shed a whole lot of steel. I need to hard-face the hammers.

I think using magnets in panning should be used only if you plan to process what you pull out.
The material getting picked up by the magnet is not just being attracted to the magnet, but some will also become temporarily magnetic and trap as it comes together. That's why each time you drop it in an empty pan, you will see more non-magnetic still falls out.
Just set it aside for a smelt or dissolve is my thinking..

Hi Mike, Great video! Your Smash-O-Matic did a wonderful job turning rock into dust! Enjoyed watching your process. You've got a very good panning technique! I doubt you lost any gold! I'll give some thought to a flux recipe for you. Still can't figure out where the brass came from??? And now you add stainless steel to the mix....thanks!! Thumbs up! Be safe! Jim

John in Florida. I'm crushing mine by hand and a rotary hammer drill. My biggest rock now is about 3/4", and there are only about 15 pieces that big. I have to find my gold with a 10 per loop. It's the proverbial dust. And I know fine gold, I panned and sluiced in southern Oregon for 23 years. But, win some lose some. I paid 103$ and change for my 25 lbs.

Considering Jason has the equipment to process this by the ton in seconds, and make a profit from it, I think he is being generous by offering his ore for sale to the public.

Enjoyed the series of videos. Thank you for taking the time to produce the video. I would say that either you need a clean up sluice or a miller table to reduce the amount of waste material. Stay safe and see you on the next video. I also watch Jason and his way of dealing with the rocks and crushing them down for processing. See you later

Here's ny Suggestion for Smelting: XS Iron... I have been clearing Historical Rebar Waste from a local WaterWay and I have found the very old steel to be superb for adding to a smelt.
I stick in 2-3 pieces and the Smelt will happily eat this type of Iron. No Doubt their Metallurgy was not as good ~100 years ago and that rebar melts easily when needed.

I'm not sure how much gold people were expecting to fall out of this stuff. Even at 1 oz./ton which is considered good ore, 25lbs should net you only about 0.4 grams of gold.

The complainers are often the ppl that dont know how this process works. They expect it to be like pay dirt that's been doped to contain a minimum amount of gold, so thats what they expect from rock they have to process themselves.
So when they do their processing and math and it doesn't come out matching J's assay result, they claim false advertisment and whatever.

    Off subject
When jason advertised the gold ore for sale. He never guaranteed that you would find gold or the amount of .. He sold you opportunity to try to find some.. In my opinion. If you watch his video with him and the mucking crew, and the way that piles a rock was when it was blown up. There are no good or bad bags...... Another one he ran his his table and through his equipment.Meeting come up with that much goal... He extrapolated out and did the math stating that if it should pay this amount per ton, like I said, my opinion
    My apologies.

Looking forward to the smelting and a total weight. I'm hoping it's more, but I'm guessing 0.32 grams. I don't think I would have been a very good contestant on The Price is Right lol!!

I have been watching gold separation for a long time.Metal that conducts electricity can be separated with magnetic eddy currents, especially on a sleuce table. Why has this been untried?

Jason wasn't using wire for blasting. He used those plastic tubes with explosive inside. Don't remember what it's called.

  • @JesseJames-rq4ee
    @JesseJames-rq4ee Před 6 měsíci +1

From the drill bit that he used to punch holes in the wall.My best guess. And explosives that were used for Lasting the walls were a form of deck cord And jelll night for the explosive himself There should be no brass or wires involved in at. It was done Fire He lit the first fuse. I thought.

There is still gold locked up in the sulfides. I need to get that out before refining the gold. That's where smelting comes in.

Doesn't seem like a good purchase if you're left with such a big pile of useless rock. There's atleast 4 different youtubers who rave on about Jason and who team up with him in videos , if he is such a good guy he would credit you back some of the money you paid.
If that was a pile of gold jewellery you bought and you found a massive pile of steel you'd be pissed

It's a search and discovery hobby. Golf is a hobby and cost money. So does hunting and fishing. This saved this man a trip to get pay dirt which cost gasoline to run a vehicle. From my perspective I see this as an educational video as I also got some of Jason's ore but mine was crushed. I'll be panning this for at least a year in my spare time and yes it looks like it has gold. This man used a sluice box which I might get one. I'm looking forward to him smelting this for the total gold amount. We have no gold where I live so I think my purchase is well worth it not to mention I spent the winter watching Jason and his buddies bust there butts in a very dangerous mine. I may just send Jason some money because he is a great American.
