Aiden > Bo Nix so in that sense we got our QB last year (without selling the farm) and with a dude we know can play the game right now. Then we got Minshew if that don't work out but I got my money on Aiden. Aiden might have been the 4th or 5th QB off the board this year no doubt about it.
Aidan was a guy in his 5th and 6th destroying top ten SEC defenses with weak offense… I believe in Aidan since he’s so experienced/accurate and willing to learn and get better everyday unlike Carr who’d rather stream Fortnite on his days off… wtf

Raiders fans need to stop this logic with AO being drafted in the 1st round. He was drafted late for a reason. Hes not the guy and if you did bet your money you’d lose. Raiders are not making the playoffs. Dak is not worth the money and won’t make a deep playoff run. Raiders need to draft a qb

O'Connell showed alot of competence in hard siuations not only for a rookie..but for most any pro QB.
Also Aiden would have been a 1st round pick if he came out the year before he was drafted. ( He wanted to get his degree, he lost his recievers and had an off year as a senior and his draft stock dropped.
Minshew is a pro bowl QB last season and is a solid back up with scrambling ability.
The Raiders are fine at QB with a top 3 defense.
Prescott has 2 more seasons as a starter before he becomes a backup that's getting paid too much.

My biggest concern is the offensive coordinator. Luke Getsy period. Will Getsy work his offense around the strength of the players
Especially the QB. What Getsy did with Bears wasn't good at all. Getsy is suspect of LV Raiders season. In my opinion.

I 100% believe if our O-line gels, AO12 will light it up this year. But I agree about the way we won last year before McDipsh*t was fired. It was all about "just win", and "whew, pulled that one out" and it never felt like we had figured it out and we were on our way.

How good, money wise is Dak Prescott? $30 million a year $40 million a year? I wouldn’t give him more than 30
AOC has, in my mind proved himself, given the ****show that the first half of the last season was with McD's clueless coaching, poor calls, no planning for the situation where AOC starts, an awful playbook not written for AOC, a weak O-line and loads of other factors. The second half of the season was cobbled together on the fly and given the circumstances - passed with flying colours! He persevered, he is intelligent, his pre snap reads will only get better and better (probably the most intelligent QB in the league), he is meek and fighting for this chance, accuracy is spot on, has the support of the team and coaching staff. Been a UK Raiders fan for 30 years and I feel that something very special might just happen this season.

I’d rather have Aidan than dak because dak is not worth top qb money. Aidan will be as good if not better than dak on a rookie contract. Just based off of historic outcomes across the NFL, there's a very low chance Aiden will succeed. There's an incredibly low chance that either QB on this roster will amount to anything.
That being said, once your roster is set, you need to operate under the assumption that your roster is good enough to win.

Prescott is going to cost way too much money for what you get. When the Steelers let Wilson go the Raiders should consider grabbing him. He only would cost 1.5 million for each of the next two seasons. He should be a consideration.

The QB situation is literally the only thing that gives me pause. But im choosing to put my faith in the fact that AOC gets all off-season to improve and he showed he was a fighter in college. That, and I put a lot of stock in the fact that Josh McCancer is gone and a natural born Raider is now at the helm. And the reality is, AOC is accurate and can put the ball anywhere on the field. His only issue rn is his pocket presence. He doesn't have to be mobile to be successful (cousins, stafford, goff, baker, etc). He just has to learn to be calm and focused in the pocket and he can dime dudes all day long. And if he can't get it done, then Minshew has the pocket awarness and the legs to extend plays so all these legit wepons and play makers can get open on broken plays.

Well, what kind of quarterback do you think the raiders need? This season raiders are gonna be a defensive team, ball control + field position. AO12 has to prove it, but Dak in free agency might be to expensive for the raiders
Aidan is better than JJ, Penix & Nix. That accuracy is A-, doesn't get injured and doesn't rely on dink and dunk passes to pad his stats.
The question is t who you'd pick between AOC and dak, it's whether or not your a better team paying AOC 1 million vs paying dak 30 or whatever it is. There's a salary cap and dak doesn't make your team 30 million dollars better. AOC+guard dog have a combined pay of 16 million. If aoc plays better than that the raiders are in great shape while having a hell of a backup

I was truly disappointed that we didn't make a stronger push for Daniels, I honestly thought Pierce was gonna sell his soul to move up & get him BUT I am happy with Bowers and I'm glad they went with BPA when all the QB's were gone.

I said from the begin the starting qb job it's a battle of backups, we don't have a true # 1 - unless Aiden proves me wrong. Can we win with it sure, as long as the D is top notch. If it doesn't work out with either this year, you get the best FA qb or trade for one.
Don’t even think about getting Prescott. Too much money and the results won’t be any better than what we have with O’Connell or Minshew. Minshew is as good or better than Prescott
Next draft may be a good undercover draft for a team like us. there aren't any clear top QBs but a quite a bunch of mid-high tier prospects. I like Allar, Beck, and Cam Ward. I do not like Ewers, Dart, or Sanders. I think Beck and Sanders will go top 10. Cam and MIlroe are the mid first rounders to late first rounders we can pounce on. I think Allar can be had in the second round or later.

The NFL draft for qb next year will be week, the year to draft one was this year, but it didn't work out.

You don't realise what we have in Aiden. He beat Drew Brees Completion % and would have beat his overall yards if not for 2020 injury. He is very good. If he is allowed to develop this year and next (before we consider moving on) I think you'll see. 2025 draft QBs SUCK. Aiden NEEDs a strong front 5 because of his style. Maybe Minshew can help him get more mobile. GIVE AIDEN 2 FULL YEARS (because the alternatives suck anyway)... WE NEED to get a better OLINE (hopefully this is it but I'm already worried about both LEFT and RIGHT side) .... I believe Aiden will get a 30 for 310 by 2026. Treat Aiden Like Carr, like an investment. we didnt have a winning season until 2016!
I also believe - if he had started every game - he'd have thrown for more like 3750.which is great rookie numbers - which are Brady/Brees (chose any franchise QB) numbers. He CAN do it.

We lost 2 games late in the season by 3 pts each. One game we couldn't even get a fg. I'm pretty sure that doesn't happen if Carr plays, how many goose eggs dud he lay in his last 4 seasons here? We were 8 total points from being 10-7. And if we just put a couple fgs up against Minnesota we would have been 9-8 and still made the playoffs. I'm pretty sure Carr makes that happen. And that's just those 2 late games. If Carr had started all season and the D played like it did, no reason to believe we wouldn't have won 11 games.
But that entire season "if" also comes with Josh McD still being a coach the 1st half of the season. So just stick with those 2 late games going the oppo direction.

Watch some CFB this year, particularly teams like Alabama, Miami, and Florida State.

I believe these 3 QBs have lots of potential to be great starters and could make a splash this year in CFB.
