Biomarker Terminology: Speaking the Same Language

Dr. Shashi Amur of the FDA’s Center for Drug Evaluation and Research, introduces the BEST Resource-a glossary of biomarker terms and uses relevant to drug development-and clarifies some terms related to biomarkers that are often used inconsistently. By speaking the same “biomarker language,” we can enhance drug development and may be able to get new treatments to patients sooner.
