From Southeast Alaska here, and so nice seeing someone riding in similar conditions. People from the states just can't really comprehend what our weather is like with 80 inches of rain in a year.
I fell off my bike in the rain last year, and was out of action for weeks. Watching you go around the corners so fast, and riding over painted lines had me tensing up.
Hi Kelly! First of all I want to thank you for all these amazing ebike reviews! Secondly, I want to ask you if you are sure about the weight rating of the front rack since the R&M's official website is giving a 5kg rate instead of 3kg.. And also I would like to know, since Multicharger is a heavy ebike, if it can be used for long distance commuting (my round trip distance range is from 30-60 km). Thanks!!
I apologize, as it is 5 kg. I must have been thinking about the SuperCharger, which has a max of 3 kg. Yes, you shouldn't have any problems achieving your 30-60 km range with the MultiCharger. If you are anxious about it, you could always get the dual battery option.
It is a tricky transition for a minor passenger who is too big for a child seat... I want to get this bike, but I can’t quite trust my 6 yr old to concentrate, balance and hang on, all the time... After two years of being up front, down low, cosy, dry and secure in an Urban Arrow Family, my child will often just fall asleep.
Personally, I really like having younger children in the front - check out my review of the R&M Packster 40 or Packster 80. I'll have a review of the new Load 75 soon as well. With the Bosch CX drive, you'll have more torque to help you along as your child gets older. You can find the reviews here: citruscycles.ca/catalogsearch/result/?q=packster If you want to go with a long-tail, then check out my Spicy Curry, GSD or Xtracycle Edgerunner eSwoop review, as all of these have bars to help your child from falling out - even if they fall asleep! Citrus Cycles Ltd. Hello! Having tested the Load 75, it is at the top of the list to replace my UA Family, next year. I will still watch your full review, when it comes out.
Hi. Great review (as always). Thank you! I am 1.83 cm tall (around 6 feet), do you think the MultiCharger Mixte will fit to me? The frame can be ordered in one size only and I can't find the geometries anywhere. I do not understand at what height it can be adapted.
Hello! I'm the same height and I really like riding the MultiCharger and MultiCharger Mixte - they seem to fit me very well. Of course they also work for much shorter riders, and we sometimes change the stem to suit the customer.
As you can see from the ride test portion of the video, I ascended a hill with a grade around 30% (very steep!) without any problems. The Bosch CX drive has lots of torque!

Awesome ride test. I’m currently considering the Multicharger Rohloff HS for my needs.

How many miles can it do with 1 charge?

How good are they going up step Hill's.

I was waiting for the ride with a passenger as promised, but it never came!
The passenger test ride starts at 56:50 with my daughter on the back with the selfie stick.
hi what is the frame size for this model?
R&M offers the MultiCharger in a "one size fits all" size.
